Yesterday at Riversway we paid our respects to our Beautiful Queen!
The residents watch the funeral on both floors, we helped to comfort the resident who were feeling sad.

We had tea and scones, printed out lots of pictures and history of Queen Elizabeth II and a booklet for the residents to keep with photos of her life and family tree.
We also printed our book of condolence so the residents could write a message.
We all thought the service was beautiful.
In the afternoon following the Queen’s funeral, we arranged for a small group to have tea and cakes in the activity room so that they have a chance to reminisce on the Queen’s life. We looked at lots of different pictures and read lots of history about Queen Elizabeth II. It also gave us a chance to sign our book of condolence. It was a lovely afternoon together, considering the circumstance.
