A Week at PrimeLife 3rd – 9th October 2022

Monday 3rd

 

Riversway in Bristol

We visited Cadbury garden centre, our first trip out in a while. We had lots of fun looking at all the beautiful flowers, plants and animals. We also had a look at all the nice clothes and all the different types of food in the farm shop. We enjoyed lunch in the restaurant, it was such a lovely day out! We would like to thank our driver, Mike, for taking us there and back, we can’t wait until we go out again on another trip in a few week’s time    

Oakdene in Mansfield

One of our residents wanted to show Alex what for in the games room. They had a few rounds of Air Hockey. We don’t think Alex did too well!

Tuesday 4th

 

Lowfield House in Kirton in Lindsey

A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!  

Oakdene in Mansfield

We have had some brilliant one-on-one sessions with the residents! They particularly enjoy a spot of shopping or just grabbing a coffee.  

Meadow View in Alcester

The Monet that our wonderful residents created with the help of the creative Mojo team is on display at The Royal Priors Shopping Centre in Leamington Spa. The National Arts In Care Day exhibitions are currently on display in Coventry and Warwickshire with over 55 pieces of care home artwork on show. The pictures can be found on the Creative Mojo Facebook page – www.facebook.com/creativemojocoventryandnuneaton, it also contains information on where to go to view them all. They plan to make this an annual event, so hopefully, we can be included again next year. We think all the artwork created by the different homes is amazing.

Stella loves Roses, so we treated her to a lovely yellow Rose! She loved her gift!  

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

A little one-to-one session for a spot of lunch at the local. It was a lovely trip out.  

Wednesday 5th

We enjoyed a lovely trip out to a local cafe. We especially enjoyed the cakes on offer.

David had a lovely pamper session with Linda! Whilst listening to calming spa music, he had his nails cut and enjoyed a hand massage. After, he enjoyed a chocolate pudding!

We enjoyed a spot of shopping, on quite a nice sunny day.

Andrew enjoyed a pamper in the garden. He had his nails cut and a hand massage. He enjoyed a coffee with a few biscuits while he had lovely chat with Lisa.

Hazel had her hair set. She was really pleased with how it turned out! We think it looks beautiful!

Oakdene in Mansfield

It’s been a while, so we took a trip to the local bowling alley for a few games! Always good fun.  

Loran House in Hull

We took a trip to Lincoln with a few of our wonderful residents. Everyone really enjoyed looking around The Collection @collectionusher and seeing all the wonderful Art and Archaeology on display. We also grab a spot of lunch in a local cafe, which was lovely. Such a nice trip out!

We had a brilliant time making some Hedgehogs out of conkers. Everyone made a few each, and the amount of different personalities they gave the hedgehogs is amazing! Such brilliant art skills!  

Saturday 8th

Lutterworth Country House in Bitteswell autumn-themed art activities continues with some amazing Owl colourings. So many different themes here that we think are outstanding.  

Riversway in Bristol

We took Victoria over to the local Coop for a little shopping. The sun was shining making it such a beautiful day. Victoria fancied some chips from the local chip shop, so she got some for her lunch. Such a nice treat.   Marlene celebrated her 80th Birthday on 6th October, we decorated her room with balloons and banners for the big day. She loved her cards and gifts from Riversway, especially her cushion and card. Marlene loves Tina Turner, and we think Marlene is “Simply the Best” too! We have arranged for a little party in the activity room with her lovely family on Sunday which she is very excited for!

We took a trip out to Young Vanish for a nice meal out. We always like it here, the food is great, especially the puddings!  

Sunday 9th

We took a lovely trip out for some afternoon tea. It was such a lovely place, with a nice garden and even better cake.  

Riversway in Bristol

Leslie had his neighbours in for a lovely catch-up and afternoon tea. They listened to some Michael Bolton in the background as they chatted away. They had a lovely afternoon together!

Last Month when the weather was a little warmer, we had a wonderful day enjoying a live singer with a BBQ and some games. The food was fantastic, and the music got a lot of our wonderful residents up to dance. It was a brilliant day.
