Monday 7th

Riversway in Bristol

June and Bridget have been busy helping us prep some of our Valentines gifts and crafts! They enjoyed a chat, a cuppa and of course, a cake! Thank you ladies for all your help we can’t wait to show you the finished gifts later on!

Margaret enjoyed a busy morning with Lisa folding the washing and looking after the baby. They had a nice chat about how busy they are with all the jobs that need doing around the house.

Beechlands in Leicester

We enjoyed another lovely trip out, this time to enjoy a good coffee and a Sunday!

Tuesday 8th

Tanworth Court in Solihull

Riversway in Bristol

Joyce and Brenda enjoyed doing some water paintings whilst we had a nice cuppa, a chat and of course cakes!

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We have been learning how to use chopsticks by getting Sweets and Marshmallows out of a bowl and putting them onto our own plates. Some of us found it really hard, others took to it quite quickly. Either way, lots of laughs were had.

Wednesday 9th

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

We had a wonderful Dignity Action Day last week, the residents each sat down to make their own Dignity Heart telling us what Dignity means to them within the home!

Riversway in Bristol

David enjoyed helping Linda make these tasty pastries to hand out to the other residents! He did such a fantastic job!

Oakdene in Mansfield

We celebrated the Queen’s 70th Year on the throne with a little bit of baking and some colouring. Everyone had a brilliant time, and all enjoyed the Rice Krispie cakes!

Thursday 10th

Oakdene in Mansfield

We celebrated the Winter Olympics with a light spot of colouring.

Bridget enjoyed listening to Jim Reeves on the old record player! It brought back some lovely memories!

Meadow View in Alcester

Higher, Lower!!!! We had lots of fun playing “Play Your Cards Right”. A big thank you to the lovely family member who donated the large playing cards, they have brought so much joy!

Friday 11th

Riversway in Bristol

Rita enjoyed seeing dexter, she gave him a few treats and hugs.

Margaret was busy folding up the serviettes and blankets with Ashleigh and enjoyed a lovely chit chat while they got to work!

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

Along with the wonderful messages, we had a lovely buffet for Dignity Action Day. With the help of some residents, we managed to make quite the spread for everyone to enjoy!

Woodville Residential Care Home in Woodville

A massive well done to the whole team on their amazing fire inspection this week! We would like to give a HUGE thank you to Steve Adcock and the estates’ team for all their ongoing support and thanks to Ann Humphreys for her support with the inspection! It’s a great result, and you should all be very proud!

Saturday 12th

Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester

Last week the residents discussed dignity for dignity day and wanted to share the dignity tree we made with you all!

The tree is made from special quotes by our residents here at Oaklands.

Everyone is pleased with the outcome, and we think it looks great up on the wall in our lounge.

Beechlands in Leicester

We enjoyed a little trip out to enjoy some bowling followed by a spot of lunch. Everyone had such a brilliant time!

Riversway in Bristol

The residents enjoyed the tasty pastries that David had helped Linda make. Everyone said they were very yummy and that David did a wonderful job!

Lots of fun playing different games with the balloons, we even tried an old game where you sit on the floor and throw the balloons. We enjoyed some nice refreshments after we finished playing.

Oakdene in Mansfield

We took a lovely trip out to the Leicester Museum. We had such a fun time looking at all the fascinating artefacts, paintings and displays they have going on, we also enjoyed a nice cuppa and slice of cake in the cafe.

Sunday 13th

Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester

Everyone has such a fantastic afternoon taking a trip down memory lane by playing Bruce Forsyth, Play Your Cards Right. We all took turns answering a selection of questions. Then guessed if the next card would be higher or lower. After we played a guessing game of classic tv British theme tunes, we managed to guess the majority correct. It was such a fun day!

Mo enjoyed listening to some music on the old record player so much that she was smiling away!

Joyce, Brenda, and Bridget enjoyed a nice cup of tea and cake from our new tea set! They all thought it was very pretty, and we think tea tastes better from a teapot and cup and saucer!
