We are very overwhelmed by the kindness that Barbara and her daughters have shown to us all by bringing in this very kind gift for all the staff!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a brilliant afternoon full of lots of activities and games! One of our favourites is Play your cards right! Always gets lots of excitement from the residents.
Tuesday 7th
Chamberlaine Court in Bedworth
Our Residents were up bright and early, ready to go to a local Cafe for a Full English Breakfast. After breakfast, they went on a bus trip around the local area and it brought back lots of different memories for all the residents. They come back to the home with big smiles on their faces. A lovely enjoyable morning was had by all.
Oakdene in Mansfield
Brian, the manager here at Oakdene, brought in his dog Poppit for all the residents to meet. They just loved the chance to get some cuddles with Poppit and cannot wait for a chance to do it again!
Riversway in Bristol
Wilfred and Pat celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Sunday. We arrange afternoon tea and cakes for their special day. Wilfred wrote his card out himself for his lovely wife Pat. We got a nice box of flowers for her as a gift from Wilfred
We had the beautiful Shannon back in the home!
She sang lots of old favourites that everybody enjoyed singing along to.
Bridget even had a dance.
We enjoyed refreshments of tea and cakes.
Everybody said they’d had a lovely afternoon.
Beechlands in Leicester
Karen has recycled bottles and paper roll tubes to create some Bunnies ready for Easter. We think this was a brilliant idea. Karen enjoyed every minute of making her creations.
Wednesday 8th
Kirklees in Grimsby
A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!
Beechlands in Leicester
David enjoyed a trip out shopping with his Becky. He picked up some needed bits along with some treats. They both had a lovely trip out!
Brockshill Woodlands in Leicester
We had a birthday celebration for our beautiful resident Janet. Our lovely senior Karen got the cake as presented and to help everyone celebrate Janet’s big day. We hope you had a very #HappyBirthday Janet!
Riversway in Bristol
We had an afternoon with lots of fun in arts and crafts. We used balloons and rubber gloves to make flower effects on our canvases, which we think turned out very well! Everyone thinks they will look beautiful hung up in their rooms.
Oakdene in Mansfield
One of our residents enjoyed a little trip out to pick up some treats. It was a lovely walk and good to get out of the home.
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
We had a lovely afternoon out at The Diamond Club with two of our residents.
We got to see some live music and enjoyed some drinks.
They both said they had a wonderful evening.
Thursday 9th
Sandybrook House in Lower Darwen
The team took part in making some Rainbows 🌈 and also some fire warden training earlier this week. We would like to say a big thank you to Alan for the training, the team feel much more confident in their skills and how to support the home in the case of an emergency.
Brockshill Woodlands in Leicester
Our residents enjoyed a carrot and fork painting session to create some wonderful flowers!
We think they turned out amazing!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We have had a load of CDs and DVDs donated by a wonderful gentleman for our residents to enjoy!
Riversway in Bristol
We took the sensory trolly around for hand massage in the residence rooms. We had the big iPad to play relaxation music, whilst having their hands massaged. David, Hazel and Maria said it was a very relaxing hand massage.
Beechlands and Stoneygate Road in Leicester
We were joined by residents from Stoneygate Road for a lovely trip out to Cropston Reservoir in Bradgate Park. It was a lovely walk in a winter wonderland! After we enjoyed some food at Gynsills Farm, everyone really loved the food and the company. It was such an amazing day.
Friday 10th

Happy birthday to Hazel, who celebrated her 91st birthday on 7th March! We sang happy birthday to her and decorated her room with balloons and banners for the big day. She loved her card and gift for Riversway.

Saturday 11th

Everyone had a smile for us as we took the pancake trolly around with lots of different delicious toppings for the residents to choose from.
Little Acres in Nuthall
We made the most of the snow yesterday and built some snowmen in the garden! We all thought that the home’s grounds looked very pretty with a covering of snow. Everyone had so much fun on this Snow Day!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a lovely afternoon, a few of the residents helped set up the dining room tables and we enjoyed some colouring ready for easter.
