Monday 16th

Oakdene in Mansfield

We had a lovely one on one session, with a little bit of shopping followed by a cheeky McDonald’s!

We had a wonderful weekend in the home. We had lots of activities going on, including doing a jigsaw puzzle, hula hooping, skipping, skittles, singing and watching a wildlife documentary! Everyone had a wonderful time!

Riversway in Bristol

We enjoyed making rock cakes and found that we all remembered the ingredients with ease. We reminisce about making them as children and with our children. After, they tasted lovely with a cuppa!

Tuesday 17th

Oakdene in Mansfield

Our new sign had arrived to help finish off our recently decorated entrance. We think it looks fantastic! Welcome to Oakdene Way.

Riversway in Bristol

We had lots of smiles in the home once again. A big thank you to the local CoOp for another wonderful donation of flowers to the home. Everyone loved the surprise gift.

Wednesday 18th

Riversway in Bristol

We started getting our flower pots. We got a collection of beautiful flowers that we planted in the pots, ready to add to our little garden.

Everyone was chatting about the gardens that we used to have when we were at home.

We enjoyed recognising all the different flowers and had tea and cake after our hard work.

The resident got together to make some cake for their deserts! Everyone had a wonderful time!

Thursday 19th

Riversway in Bristol

Hollie very kindly brought in her baby bunnies for the residents to meet and have a cuddle. They were so cute, everyone fell in love with them! Thank you, Hollie, we can’t wait for them to visit again.

Hazel celebrated her 83rd Birthday on 18th May. We decorated her room with balloons and banners. She loved her card and chocolates from everyone at Riversway! Happy Birthday, Hazel!

Sadie our cook baked a lovely apple pie and served it with thick creamy custard which everyone fully enjoyed.

Friday 20th

Riversway in Bristol

We made our own bread! We enjoyed the texture when we were kneading the dough, and the smell of cooking bread was delicious. Everyone got to taste some with real butter and cherry jam, whilst we reminisced about having this as children for our tea on a Sunday.

Lilian and Gwyn celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on the 18th of May. They had a lovely day together! We arranged for some wonderful little cakes with a spot of tea for them to enjoy and decorated Lilly’s room for the day. She was so pleased. They both had a lovely flower box each and a card from all at Riversway. Happy Anniversary to you both!

We went on a wonderful day out for a spot of shopping. Everyone had a lovely time, with many treating themselves to come comforts.

We had a lovely time baking some cakes. Rice Crispy and Corn Flake cakes might be simple but they taste very good with a cuppa!

Saturday 21st

Oakdene in Mansfield

We had so much fun baking some little cupcakes. They tasted brilliant with a nice cuppa!

We took a trip out to enjoy a nice drink in our local. We hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Riversway in Bristol

Marlo came back for another visit! Everyone was so pleased to see him and gave him to lots of cuddles and treats. He always puts a smile on the resistance faces!

Sunday 22nd

Meadow View in Alcester

Our residents love the giant poppies we have been able to grow this year!

Riversway in Bristol

We had a fun afternoon at the Riversway Bingo! We had a few games and enjoyed a cake and cuppa halfway through, all our bingo players got to choose a gift of their choice. It was such a fun afternoon!

We had a wonderful trip out for some lunch at a local favourite! Everyone had a wonderful time, and we really like their display for the Queen’s Jubilee!
