Life at Prime Life – November 2023

November continued being very wet but was busy in our homes, residents celebrated Remembrance Weekend and began getting ready for Winter and Christmas that follows.

Ryan, the manager at Barons Park was surprised by a party the residents and staff held for him for his Birthday.

Ryan thought it was a very thoughtful gesture and a brilliant way to spend his birthday at work!

Residents from Brackendale took part with the community of Sheringham in celebrating Remembrance Day.

They feel so grateful to be a part of these things in our lovely town

Arnold at Chamberlaine Court and the people of Bedworth took part in  Armistice Day & Remembrance Sunday.

Arnold helped support the British Legion for many years, selling poppies in the town, and regularly checks the Cenotaph is presentable.

Charnwood Oak’s Residents had a brilliant time wandering around a wonderful garden center checking out all the Christmas theme decorations and gifts.

Clarence House celebrated 40 years during November, they had a Anniversary party at Horncastle Community Centre where they raised £321, which will be donated to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal, as per their residents’ wishes.

The staff at Manor House dressed up this Halloween to impress the residents. Later that evening they enjoyed a disco, where even the dog got involved!

Meadow View welcomed back Creative Mojo back to the home.

Oakdene had a wonderful Remembrance Services, with the residents laying poppies at the bottom of our display, and taking the moment to stand and remember those we lost for the freedoms we have today!

Old Station Close had a busy month getting the home ready for Christmas. The residents helped decorate the home ready for December, there have been lots of festive crafts and cooking going on, and the residents also enjoyed a trip to the fair!

Riversway residents had so much fun celebrating Diwali with a Diwali Party!

Everyone got involved, tasting some traditional foods

cooked by some of the staff and their volunteers preformed beautiful dances in their traditional outfits.

Southfield House, had an amazingly spooky night for Halloween, where they enjoyed a buffet, some spooky music and games.

Residents from Springhill had a brilliant day our at Portland Basin history museum!

Each corner they turned there was interesting scenes from their past such as, old fashioned shops and classrooms. They reminisced on their childhood and how realistic these rooms were with there atmosphere.

The Hollies hosted a Christmas Fayre!

They had people from The Fieldings, Oakdene and The Mount along with, family friends and our local community.

They had a wonderful singer, stalls for people to do some gift shopping and Santa popped in for a visit!
