Monday 5th

Netherlands in Horncastle

Here at the Netherlands, our naughty elf, Tinsel Toes, has stolen the baubles off our Christmas tree! It’s sending Rachel’s OCD off the roof! And on Day 3, Tinsel Toes has been very eager to open everyone’s Christmas cards, but he’s got stuck and needs help!

Our very own elf has already started his bad ways as he got caught on camera trying to pinch a Christmas Hamper! Our homes better keep an eye out for him and make sure that he isn’t up to much mischief.

Riversway in Bristol

Our Christmas baking has begun! We made these delicious Christmas pudding chocolate truffles, and yes, they tasted as good as they looked! We listened to Christmas music and had a lovely afternoon.

Oakdene in Mansfield

We enjoyed a lovely lunch out at the Kings Mill Farm! The food was outstanding, we cannot wait to go back!

Chamberlaine Court in Bedworth

‘Festive Fun’ at Chamberlaine Court has brought a smile to everyone’s face. The Residents had a fantastic afternoon decorating the Christmas Tree, whilst we played Christmas music on and sang along.

Tuesday 6th

Seacroft Court in Skegness

“From the moment I entered the care home, I was made welcome from management down to the cleaners. I would recommend your home if I had to at any time. I have a great time here.

The only problem would be agency staff not up to spec, but apart from that, no problem at all.

On Day 4, Tinsel Toes helped himself to the resident’s chocolates!

And on Day 5, we found Tinsel Toes taking a shower, however, he had swapped the shower gel with fairy liquid and flooded the bathroom with bubbles.

Meadow View in Alcester

We took a trip out to Webbs Garden Center to see all their Christmas goodies! We even got to have a got in their Christmas Bus!

Oakdene in Mansfield

Last weekend, we enjoyed a trip to the Rufford for Sunday Lunch followed by cake. The food was fantastic, as always, we really do love it here!

Riversway in Bristol

Bingo is back at Riversway! We had a fun afternoon, and the best bit, everyone wins at our bingo!

Lyndon Croft in Solihull

On Elf Day last week, we put up our Christmas Trees! We made a small one for our foyer for everyone to see when they arrive then a larger one that the residents helped decorate. We think they did an amazing job, and we are definitely starting to feel the Christmas Spirit.

Wednesday 7th

Clarence House in Horncastle

We went to Horncastle Festival Fabulous Light Show. Everyone had such a brilliant time. We looked at the Christmas Tree, Christmas lights and all the fun activities in town, followed by a Costa Christmas hot chocolate to warm up.

Sue took Leslie to the rainbow cafe to see his friends. After, they had a nice wander around Kingswood and enjoyed the fresh air.

We have been getting into the Christmas Spirit and enjoyed the holiday class, ELF, in our cinema room! Everyone loved it!

Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We took a train trip out to Meadowhall Shopping centre for a spot of Christmas Shopping. It was a lovely day out. We enjoyed seeing all the Christmas decorations.

Thursday 8th

Netherlands in Horncastle

Day 6, and naughty Tinsel Toes drew moustaches on everyone’s pictures 🤦‍♀️ And on day 7, Tinsel Toes, Frosty the Penguin and Rudolf had a pillow fight in the lounge!

Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We made some delicious cookies for Elf Day last week. They tasted amazing with a good cuppa!

Oakdene in Mansfield

We always enjoy getting together to play some games!

We had so much fun setting up our Christmas display this year!

Riversway in Bristol

We had the “Forget Me Not” cafe at Riversway. We enjoyed delicious cake and cups of tea with LOTS chats. It was a really nice morning, everyone is invited please join us for our next “Forget Me Not” cafe.

Friday 9th

Netherlands in Horncastle

On day 8, Tinsel Toes couldn’t wait for the snow, so he covered the kitchen in flour, had a snowball fight and made snow angels! Who’s going to clean all this up Naughty Elf?

Meadow View in Alcester

We had the lovely Animals for Parties come in for a visit. It was so much fun! We got to hug some fluffy friends and stroke some more scaly friends.

Riversway in Bristol

Lisa took Leslie to the Christmas market, where they both enjoyed looking at all the different stalls. They also visited an old friend of Leslie’s, where they enjoyed a cooked breakfast. It was a lovely day!

Oakdene in Mansfield

Residents at Oakdene in Mansfield took a trip into town for a spot of shopping. Everyone got a chance to treat themselves.

Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We had a lovely afternoon out for our Christingle service. We joined in with hymns and prays, and we really enjoyed the services.

Saturday 10th

Riversway in Bristol

Dexter loves our Christmas grotto ❤️ as you can see!

Pam enjoyed some one to one time with Linda. They listened to some soft relaxing music whilst she has a lovely white chocolate pudding and a relaxing hand massage.
