“The family is happy with the care and attention my husband has received in Westerlands Care Village. My husband is settled after a difficult start following a seizure and a period in the hospital.
He has had periods when he has been homesick but the care given has overcome 90% of the emotional issues given that my husband has lived a fully independent life up to this year.
In spite of various health issues, he has managed to retain a sense of humour this is a credit to the care home. He reads and watches TV and generally his interaction with carers and residents is very positive.”

We had so much fun at our Christmas Party!
We met Santa, and had lots of dancing and singing with plenty of fabulous food.
It was such a brilliant evening.

We had the wonderful Creative Mojo back in the home to create these Festive Wreaths with the residents. Well done to our Art Achievement Certificate winner Edwina!
Riversway in Bristol
We had a lovely afternoon making these cute snowman socks. Everyone thinks they look really cute and can’t wait to put them in our rooms. We had lots of cake and tea and a lovely chat.
Oakdene in Mansfield
A few residents went to the local cinema to watch Matilda followed by MacDonalds for tea. They all said the film was brilliant!

We had lots of fun making paper chains in the home. They have added a little bit of Christmas colour to the home!
Tuesday 20th

Shelia took a trip out with one of our wonderful residents to the local snooker club. He had a brilliant time teaching her how to play.

Wednesday 21st
Hawkhurst in Blackburn

SANTA!!! We had Santa visit our residents to deliver a little gift for each of them. Everyone just loved the surprise!
Riversway in Bristol
We welcomed our local church choir into the home to sing some lovely Christmas Carols. We sang in the corridors so all the residents could hear the carol singers.
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a lovely one-to-one session. We took a trip to the local shop to grab some bits, followed by a relaxing colouring session.

After a spot of shopping, we enjoyed a good old KFC for lunch!
Thursday 22nd

We enjoyed an evening at The Diamond to see Midlife Crisis sing some Christmas songs! It was a brilliant live show, with fun versions of our Christmas favourites.

Eyes Down, Look In! Christmas bingo was a big success. Everyone had so much fun with the festive twist.

We had so much fun playing some table golf. The idea is to bounce the ping pong ball off the table into the golf cup!

Belle, our wonderful cook, has been getting into the Christmas Spirit in the kitchen today.

We had the wonderful Shannon back 🥰 She sang some lovely Christmas songs, we all enjoyed tea and cake, it was a lovely afternoon!

Friday 23rd
Meadow View in Alcester.
We enjoyed some Christmas Party games in the home. Everyone really enjoyed the pass the parcel game, especially as there was a prize in each layer.
Lutterworth Country House in Bitteswell
Our residents really enjoyed the mince pies and sherry afternoon, whilst we sang Christmas songs and carols. We also had fun making the paper chain decorations. We would like to wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy Healthy New Year!

We had lots of fun making these cute Christmas decorations to put on our trees. We had some lovely chats with tea and cake. It was a fun afternoon!

We decorated gingerbread men for our tree. It was such good fun, and they came out amazing!

Ruth got busy with residents! They had lots of fun with oven-baked clay making and created some wonderful clay models!
Riversway in Bristol
We had Christmas baking with Linda! Our wonderful troop got together to make individual Christmas cakes. We had lots of fun cutting out the marzipan and icing and just as much fun decorating our cakes! Everyone had a cake to take back and enjoy with our friends!
We would like to thank Pat’s family for the wonderful Christmas gifts she very kindly brought for every one of our residents ❤️

We had the Jasmin Product in the home to do our #Panto.
They performed Snow White for us, which everyone enjoyed!
The elves were very busy sorting out the teas and coffees during the show, and we had our little buffet after, to help finish off such a fun afternoon.

We had a lovely trip to our local cinema to watch Avatar: The Way of Water. Everyone thought the film was brilliant! After, we enjoyed a cheeky Mcdonald’s for dinner.

We have taken lots of photos of all our residents in the grotto or in their rooms.
We turned the photos into baubles so we could give them to the families and loved ones as a gift.
We hope you all like the little gift we have done 😊
