Oakdene in Mansfield
A few of our lovely residents went out for afternoon tea!
They had a wonderful trip out, and always enjoy a good selfie!
We have been getting into the Easter spirit with a small colouring session!
Everyone found this nice and relaxing but now we just want our easter eggs!
Riversway in Bristol
We had a lovely sensory session in the activity room.
David, Miriam and David all had a relaxing hand massage followed by some chocolate and a cup of tea!
We listened to some relaxation music and had the sensory lights on and enjoyed the smell of lavender that we had put in the defuser.
Evelyn celebrated her 84th Birthday on the 6th of April.
We decorated her room with balloons and banners.
She loved her gift card and chocolates from everyone at Riversway!

Old Station Close in Shepshed
We had eggs arrive today ready to hatch over easter!
They are due to hatch from Wednesday onwards and we are all very excited to see them arrive!

Tuesday 12th
Riversway in Bristol
Joyce celebrated her 95th birthday on the 9th of April.
She loved her card and chocolates from all of us at Riversway.
We decorated her room with balloons and banners which she was really pleased with!

Edwin celebrated his 93rd birthday on the 9th of April!
He FaceTimed his granddaughter, and he really liked being able to see her on the iPad.
We also decorated his room with balloons and banners, he loved his card and chocolates from all at Riversway.

Over at The Fairways, we have been busy getting ready for Easter by making some Easter Bonnets and painting up some eggs!
Everyone had so much fun making their projects.

Wednesday 13th
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a lot of fun watching the Grand National last weekend.
A little flutter was had by some of us as well.
We love a good game of Bingo, at the home, as it adds a small amount of competition!
Everyone had a brilliant time!

Pam celebrated her 82nd birthday on the 10th of April.
We decorated her room with balloons and banners and she loved the flowers and cards Riversways got her for her birthday!

We had a lot of fun visiting Abby Park at the weekend!
The weather was nice, the sights were wonderful and the cafe was lovely. All in all a good weekend!
Thursday 14th
Old Station Close in Shepshed
We had our first chick hatch from our living eggs programme!
🙂 We are all very excited to meet the rest of them now.

We had a double Riversway birthday celebration on Saturday for Joyce and Edwin to celebrate their Birthdays!
They had a wonderful afternoon with lots of lovely company and good food, including a fresh cake that had been made just for them!

Some of the residents requested to go out for cake and a drink, so that’s what we did!
Everyone had such a brilliant time out and about together!
Oakdene in Mansfield had an afternoon full of activities, including our nails being done, jigsaw making, colouring, and a few rounds of dominoes!
Everyone had a brilliant time taking part in their favourite activities!

Over at The Fairways, we have been busy with some arts and crafts.
Everyone loves a good painting session as a way to unwind!
We also found one of our dolls that bring a lot of joy to our residents and helps them to relax!
Barons Park in Kirby Muxloe
Last week some of our residents and staff went out for a trip to Dobbies Garden centre.
They loved having a stroll around looking at the plants and fish.
They also enjoyed some refreshments from the cafe’.
It was such a wonderful trip out and enjoyed by everyone.

Over at The Fairways this easter we got some eggs from the living eggs programme and they have slowly begun to hatch!
Everyone is very excited and loves watching them brake out into the world!

We all think it looks very beautiful!
We made these delicious Easter cheesecakes!
Everyone had the chance to make their own and we enjoyed eating them after with a cup of tea.

The residents love having a trip out for bowling followed by some good grub from the cafe.

We had a small shopping trip and whilst out a few of the residents wanted a Cheeky Maccies, so we stopped in MacDonalds for Lunch!

We had a lovely afternoon making our Easter bonnets.
We couldn’t pick a winner, as we feel everyone was so good, so they all had a little Easter egg to take with them as a prize!
We enjoyed tea and cakes whilst decorating the bonnets, it was a very fun activity!

We set up some outdoor bowling in the garden!
Everyone had such a great time and we even scored some strikes!
