Brackendale
A massive well done to the whole team on receiving a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!
Clarence House
We had a fun afternoon at the local fair! There was a load of rides and games for us all to play. Everyone had such a wonderful time!
Riversway
We enjoyed a wonderful church service in the home. We would like to say thank you to the priests and nuns from Saint Patrick’s who came in to perform the holy communion, it was a lovely service.
Oakdene
Our men really enjoyed the fresh feel after having their nails done and Sandra wanted to share her artwork with you all!
The Fieldings
We took a shopping trip and just loved this display on the high street, so we had to get a photo!
Tuesday 25th
Westerlands

We had a wonderful evening out at the Theater to see “Rave On: The Ultimate 50s and 60s Experience!”
Oakdene
We had a lovely day out shopping followed by a spot of lunch. Everyone had such a wonderful time!
Riversway
Wilfred, Pat, Christine, Bridget, and David played lots of traditional games in the dining room whilst enjoying lots of chats, tea or coffee and cakes.
Wednesday 26th
Tanworth Court

We enjoyed a cheese and wine afternoon, there was quite a selection of cheese wines for us to choose from. We spoke about the different types of wine that we enjoy the most, it created lots of different and interesting conversations. We also had a lovely sing-along whilst enjoying each other’s company.

Our lovely residents presented us with this wonderful card as a big thank you for all the trips and activities we arrange for them! Thank You to you all for the wonderful card, and thank you to all the staff for all the hard work you do for our incredible residents.

We had an amazing night watching The Rock of Ages Experience. They played so many classics we all loved!
Thursday 27th
Charnwood Oaks

The residents had fun working together to create this mural ready for the King’s coronation next month. We think it looks amazing, they all did a brilliant job!
Oakdene
Another session at the bowling alley was enjoyed by all. They had the lights down low so we could enjoy the fun light shows the lanes had, it was so much fun!
Riversway
Karen and Michael enjoyed looking out the window at the beautiful wild dear in our garden!
Lyndon Croft
We had a small raffle with a few prizes won by staff and residents. Ami was particularly happy with her win!
Friday 28th
Clarence House
We received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team 👏👏 “Due to the restrictions during the pandemic, my daughter was unable to leave her residence. This has had a knock-on effect on her weight, mobility and well-being. When I voiced my concern the manager suggested having some one-to-one hours to support my daughter to be more active. She has been walking around the local area with staff and has just been referred by the doctor for a 12-week course at the gym. This will cover fitness, diet and well-being. Helping my daughter in the long term.”
Riversway
Saturday bingo was back at Riversway, we had a fun afternoon playing a good Kings of Bingo! There were lots of prizes to be won, and of course, everyone went away with a small gift of their choice as everyone is a winner at Riversway bingo.
Saturday 29th
Barons Park

A massive well done to the incredible staff team 👏👏 “Barons Park Nursing Home provided very caring and positive support to our son who was very young. His nursing needs were complicated and very well managed in collaboration with his local GP. All staff are very friendly and approachable and supportive at all times and communicated with family well. Our son felt very safe and reassured.”Riversway
We enjoyed a Baking with Linda session making a delicious Banoffee pie.
Everyone had so much fun bashing and cutting up the ingredients for the pie.
We had lots of chats about our favourite puddings and desserts whilst we were busy baking.
After, we enjoyed tasting our banoffee pie with a good cuppa.
Pat celebrated her 92nd birthday on the 16th of April.
She loved her gift and cards from Riversway and how we decorated her room for the big day. She also had lots of lovely cards and gifts from her family and friends.
Many happy belated birthday wishes to Pat from us all!
Oakdene
We took a trip to our local, the Rafford, for our tea.
The food was lovely as always and the staff at the Rafford said how much they love to see us!
