We handed out some fresh cream and fruit meringues for everyone to enjoy. They all said they were lovely. We also had some soft puddings to offer to our residents who maybe couldn’t have the meringues, so lots of happy faces!

Tuesday 24th
Riversway in Bristol
Bridget and Elfreide enjoyed the flowers we had kindly donated from the CoOp! Big thank you, the ladies loved them!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We took a lovely trip out for some bowling fun. Everyone always has such a wonderful time and so nice to spend some time together out the home.
Little Acres in Nuthall
On Friday our lovely residents decided that they wanted to visit Matlock in Derbyshire. We enjoyed a steady stroll along the river taking in both the views and fresh air before stopping off for our favourite of fish and chips. We all had a fantastic day and made many memories.
Wednesday 25th
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a wonderful shopping trip out to Mansfield town centre so that the residents could pick up some essentials and of course, treat themselves.

Stella made this beautiful birthday card for her daughter Suzanne!
We pop it in the post for her to send it on its long journey all the way to Australia. We are sure her daughter will love it!
Lutterworth Country House
To start our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations we had a lovely visit from a very gentle pony called Silver. The residents loved the surprise visit.
Head Office in Leicester
The Quality Matters team took a trip to the #careroadshows to find out what new and exciting developments there have been to help us provide the best care possible to all our residents. We meet some brilliant people, all of whom are very passionate about care.
Thursday 26th
Gilby House in Winterton

With the upcoming celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we took around lots of different pictures of the queen and of the past jubilee celebrations to all our residents so that we could reminisce and have lots of lovely chats together.

We have been preparing some more in the home for the Jubliee next weekend with some more wonderful pictures!
Stoneygate Road in Leicester
We had a wonderful afternoon in the home with some of the residents getting ready for the Jubliee. The residents have been painting cutouts of their hands, as will be using them for our Platinum Jubilee decorations.

We had a wonderful time doing some Art by designing our own shopping bags.
Lutterworth Country House
Our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations continue with a fun game of Royal bingo, followed by some Queen themed paintings. The residents had so much fun taking part.
Saturday 28th
Riversway in Bristol
We have started our Jubilee Celebrations. We made these lovely Pom Poms in Red, White, and Blue! We plan to hang them up when we have our jubilee party. Everyone enjoyed making them and we had lots of chats about the royal family and what the Queen’s Jubilee means.
Seacroft in Skegness
We had a wonderful visit from some Ponies! All the residents really enjoy the surprise. They brighten up everyone’s day!
Sunday 29th
Riversway in Bristol
We had our church service. We sang lots of beautiful hymns and had refreshments while we spoke about our churches.
We also sang to Lilly and Rosanna in their rooms because they couldn’t make the service, they were very happy!
