Monday 1st
Riversway
We took around our mobile, sensory hand and nail bar.
Frida, Geraldine, Drew, Pam, Shirley and Hazel all enjoyed a lovely hand massage, with a few of the ladies choosing to have their nails painted from the fantastic selection of colours we have.
Oakdene
We enjoyed a small shopping trip getting some essentials and treats!
Tuesday 2nd
Lyndon Croft
Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Donna.
A big thank you for all your hard work and dedication you show to the home!
Riversway
Riversway welcomed back Lauren from Flourish with one of her fabulous fun sets. She sang lots of popular songs with lots of props.
Everybody had a fun afternoon.
We got together to create these beautiful paper flower crafts!
Everyone choose their background paper followed by the vase of their choice then got busy adding the flowers to the vase.
We think they look very pretty and will look great hung in the resident’s rooms.
Oakdene
We had a brilliant time at the cinema watching The Super Mario Bros Movie.
The film was brilliant and had us laughing all the way through.
The only problem is, we just can’t stop singing Peaches!
Woodlands
We enjoyed a wonderful day out at West Midlands Safari Park.
We saw many fantastic animals and the weather was just right to enjoy a picnic, all in all, a brilliant day!
Wednesday 3rd
Meadow View
We had the wonderful creative mojo back in the home.
This time they worked with the residents to create this lovely Coronation Cake Decoration ready for the big day this weekend!
We think it turned out amazing, everyone did such a wonderful job.
Riversway
We made these lovely crowns in preparation for celebrating the King’s Coronation.
All around the home, we are getting busy preparing for the big day.
We all can’t wait to wear our crowns!
Oakdene
We went for a lovely stroll and came across a football match in the local park, so we decided to stop and watch for a little while.
It was a good match and a lovely walk, the perfect way to spend an afternoon!
The Fieldings
We had another wonderful evening out at the Diamond seeing some live music!
Thursday 4th
Chamberlain Court
Our wonderful Resident’s had such massive smiles on their faces after creating these wonderful crowns for the King’s Coronation.
Oakdene
We had a wonderful time last weekend popping out for Sunday lunch.
We took a trip to a local favourite to enjoy some good food with even better company, it was a lovely day.
Riversway
We made this beautiful coronation cake to celebrate the upcoming king’s coronation.
Whilst baking, we had lots of chats about the upcoming event.
After, we enjoyed a cup of tea and a slice of the cake.
Friday 5th
Riversway
We have been enjoying making lots of coronation crafts ready for the big day.
We talked about the upcoming event and what it is like to have a new king whilst enjoying a good cuppa!
Oakdene
The sun was shining so we decided to treat ourselves to a McFlurry!
They were delicious!
Chamberlain Court
We had a lovely morning with Creative Music Therapy.
Everyone loved joining in with dancing while singing along to the music.
Saturday 6th
Riversway
We made coronation Pom Poms whilst enjoying some fresh jam and cream scones.
We sang some old wartime songs and had a lovely afternoon together!
Sunday 7th
Riversway
We enjoyed making some homemade pizzas, with plenty of toppings to choose from!
Whilst we worked we had a good singalong and after we enjoyed our pizzas with a nice cuppa.
Everyone says they had a fun afternoon!
