Monday 5th April

Riversway Care Home in Bristol

“Happy Easter Monday!

We made these cute Easter bunnies! The bunnies are trying to dig out the carrots, how adorable are their fluffy little tails popping out?! We had tea cakes and we had a lovely chat about Easter time ??”

Meadow View in Alcester

“Meadow View in Alcester did some baking and decorating last week, and they look amazing! ?”

Tuesday 6th April

Holmes Court in Leicester

We wanted to share this brilliant 5 star review that Holmes Court in Leicester received on www.carehome.co.uk! A huge shout-out to the staff team there for their amazing work ??

“My mum went into Holmes court in June 2020 with Alzheimer’s. The staff are kind caring and attentive. She is well looked after always looks clean and tidy and is more than well-fed. During covid, the team have gone out of their way to make sure we have always had contact either via video call or the pod outside and now the visits inside all covid rules have been followed making sure the safety of the residents and staff. I would have no doubt recommending the home, my mum is happy here and safe and being looked after I wouldn’t wish for her to be anywhere else.”

“Lilly loves the new teddy we got for her. She’s going to name her Mary, because that’s her best friend’s name ?”

Barons Park in Kirby Muxloe

“Primelife is supporting the Government’s vaccination programme.

Maisie Biggs who has worked at Barons Park as a Care Assistant, had the first dose of the vaccine at the home last week. Prior to receiving it, she was really anxious. When asked afterward how she was feeling about the process, she said, “Honestly, just do it. It’s worth it for the peace of mind. I was worried before, but they made me feel better and it was easy.”

Demi Lee, a care assistant who joined the team at the beginning of March, was offered the first dose of the vaccination last week. Demi jumped at the chance and was really enthusiastic about the process! She said “it’s simple, just get it. Honestly, the only concern I had was that it would hurt. I wasn’t worried about anything felt very well informed.”

Grace Marongwe has been a nurse at Barons Park for 6 years, and this week she received her second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. She was nervous and shared that ironically, even though she is a nurse, she hates needles! When asked if she had any concerns regarding the vaccine and she told us, “No, I am confident that the vaccination will keep us and our residents safe.”

“The residents at Clarence House in Horncastle took part in an egg hunt last Sunday for Easter!

Lots of fun was had and plenty of chocolaty treats were given out to everyone!”

Meadow View

“Happy Birthday to Fred at Meadow View in Alcester who reached his 100th Birthday last Friday!

Fred had a fantastic day with a visit from family, a brilliant 100 shaped cake and lots of gifts and cards, including one from the Queen!

Wednesday 7th April

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

“Some of the residents at Stoneygate Road in Leicester made some delicious looking Easter Cakes for everyone at the home earlier last week ready for the big day!

All 3 really enjoyed the session and making a mess in the process!”

Riversway Care Home in Bristol

“We took some flowers into Pam, to put them by her window, and she loved them!”

Netherlands in Horncastle

“Happy Birthday for last Sunday to Yvonne at the Netherlands in Horncastle!

Yvonne celebrated her 63 birthday and was delighted with her presents and overjoyed with her special birthday cake.

They danced and sang the afternoon away, followed by a buffet tea and a big slice of cake for everyone, which was very very yummy!

Happy Birthday Yvonne from everyone at PrimeLife!”

Oakdene in Mansfield

“Over in Mansfield, the residents at Oakdene had some Easter fun last Sunday!

The home was full of love and joy, with good spirits all around and chocolate eggs for all.

Everyone in Oakdene wishes everyone a very Happy Easter!”

Thursday 8th April

The Hollies in South Normanton

“The Hollies over in South Normanton are raising money for the residents’ social fund! Head over to the post to find out more!”

Meadow View in Alcester

“A big well done to Meadow View Care Home in Alcester who have received a lovely review on www.carehome.co.uk! ??

“I have visited my sister for the first time for many months, due to COVID19, today in the pod. I was very impressed with the setup. It was comfortable for my sister and me. The microphone worked well my sister could hear and understand every word. The pod was livened up with flowers and posters. The member of staff was polite, friendly and helpful. PPE was supplied for our safety.”

Meadow View in Alcester

“A Chick and a Bunny paid a visit to Meadow View in Alcester to had out chocolate goodies to all the residents!

Everyone had such a lovely day, and the characters put a big smile on all the resident’s faces.

Everyone at Meadow Views hopes you all had a wonderful Easter!”

Holmes Court in Leicester

“Prime Life are supporting the Government’s vaccination programme.

Christopher a resident at Holmes Court in Leicester was proud to have had his 1st vaccination on the 22nd of March. Christopher said, “I have had the first to protect me from covid and allows me to see my family.”

Shirley a staff member at Holmes Court in Leicester was proud to have had her 2nd vaccination on the 22nd of March. Shirley said that “getting them stops me from getting covid. It also means coming to work and being around residents let me know they are safe and helps protects my family.”

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

“With the weather turning nice again, some of the residents at Stoneygate Road in Leicester enjoyed a good game of Badminton as well as some inside fun with a spot of Pool!

So nice to see everyone having such a good time! Thanks for sharing Stoneygate!”

Netherlands in Horncastle

“Over in Horncastle at the Netherlands, the residents enjoyed a packed filled Easter Sunday.

They had an Easter egg hunt, followed by a purple easter egg competition, where everyone was so good they all got a prize and at the end of the day, they made their own Easter Egg Heads.

What a brilliant day looks like everyone had so much fun!”

Friday 9th April

Manor House in Alkborough

“The Manor House in #Alkborough received this amazing 5 star review from a resident that we wanted to share! Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond ?

“Very, very good. I think the staff and support are amazing.

I have my own cottage and my own cat, and he is happy too. The staff help to look after my cat sox and helped to put a cat flap in.

I’ve decorated my cottage in the colours that I wanted.

The staff listen to people and support me well.”

Charnwood Oaks in Shepshed

“The residents over at Charnwood Oaks in Shepshed enjoyed the Easter weekend with a lovely meal, a special layout including eggs for them all and an Easter Tree!

They hope everyone has a fabulous Easter!”

“Earlier this week, the residents at Stoneygate Road in Leicester decided it was time for a fresh look for their garden.

As such, they freshen up some of the existing plant pots with a lick of paint and some new flowers!

Looks great everyone, so nice to bring some spring colour to the garden!”

Oakdene in Mansfield

“Looks like everyone had a lot of fun this Easter at Oakdene in Mansfield with plenty of entertainment including a spot of gardening, a fun session of bingo and some nice Easter cakes that everyone fully enjoyed!”

Saturday 10th April

Riversway Care Home in Bristol

Primelife is supporting the Government’s vaccination programme.

Riversway Care Home in Bristol had the second dose of their COVID-19 vaccinations on 25th March, and the residents and staff wanted to share their reasons for taking the vaccine!

Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester

“Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester had some Easter fun last weekend with Easter games and treats! Everyone had a brilliant time, and wanted to give a special shout-out to the home’s manager Raj, for the Easter egg she bought for all the residents!”
