June and Bridget enjoyed some time in the garden together they had a cup of tea and a cake! We enjoyed the lovely weather we had in March, and think our blossom tree looks beautiful!

We made trinket dishes out of air drying clay for mothers day! It was a little messy but we had so much fun!

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day at home, all our lovely ladies enjoyed some cake and all received flowers from us at Stoneygate Oaklands.

Wednesday 6th

We took a little trip out to abbey park to feed the ducks and go to the cafe! We had such a lovely time!
Riversway in Bristol
We made this lovely thank you card to the team at our local Co-Op from some of the residents of Riversway! It was really nice to take Victoria over to give it to them personally. The manager said it was a beautiful card and he would put it up in the staff room.

We had a wonderful weekend full of activities, with trips out and fun games in the home!

Remember the clay trinket dishes we made, well, we enjoyed a nice painting session to get them all looking good for mothers day! Everyone had so much fun enjoying the sun!
Barons Park in Kirby Muxloe
Here at Barons, we have been busy revamping our old salon. Last week we held a grand opening and invited our lovely residents to attend. They enjoyed a glass of bucks fizz and a big slice of fresh cream cake! Everyone had a look around our new salon and Valerie booked herself in for a manicure and foot massage the next day! Big thanks to Leanne who took this project on and to everyone on the team who helped!
Thursday 7th
Old Rectory in Stickney
We received this very lovely feedback from Jane after her sister-in-law stayed with them for a few days.
“I would like to give you a little background about my sister in law Esme, so you can appreciate my comments.
Esme has Cerebral Palsy, is 72 years old & lives with her brother & I. We are full-time carers for her & have not had a break (not even a day) for over 2 years. She has severe speech problems & doesn`t socialize very well.
She has been at the Old Rectory for a week & her brother & I was dreading fetching her today, expecting her to say “I`m not going in care again!!”. How wrong could we be!
She has had a wonderful time, won`t shut up about it, she mixed, went out on a trip, even danced! We are both in shock!.
This is a true testament to Sarah & her staff for how they have looked after her, & she has asked to go back again. We cannot thank them all enough. I hope they get the recognition they deserve & to thank them so much.”

Fun in the lounge today, we played lots of different games and enjoyed refreshments. We also found our toy cat that looks like dexter, everyone had lots of fun!

We took a little trip out for a one on one session of bowling at Hollywood bowls! We both had a brilliant time!

We got together and enjoy some time as a group, reminiscing about the old times and enjoying a cake and a drink whilst we did!

Our caterpillars are getting themselves ready, they have attached to the lids and chrysalises. We have moved them into their butterfly house, where eventually they will emerge as painted ladies.
Friday 8th

Michael enjoyed some one on one time with a trip out in Mansfield with his support worker! He really enjoyed his Hot Chocolate.

Riversway Bingo!! We had lots of fun and everyone was a winner! We enjoyed cakes and tea in between each game.
Meadow View in Alcester
We had a lovely travel bingo session! Just like normal bingo, but we had to cross out items we would use on holiday! We enjoyed some delightful biscuits whilst we played.
Saturday 9th

We had a pamper day at Riversway! Everyone had a lovely new hair Doo. We enjoyed cakes music and lots of lovely company around the table after!
Beechlands in Leicester
We had a lovely one on one trip to Primark to get some bits. It was such a nice trip out and we enjoyed a sing-along in the car!

We set up a chocolate fountain for the residents to enjoy! They dipped in loads of different fruit, everyone said it was so much fun!
Netherlands in Horncastle
Residents enjoyed a bus trip a few weeks back when the sun was shining to Woodside Wildlife Park. Everyone really enjoyed themselves looking at the animals and spending a nice day out together!Big thank you to Nigel our bus driver for taking us!
