Life at Prime Life – August 2023

August has been another busy month for our homes. The lovely weather of August has meant so brilliant trips out, and even on the cooler days fun has been had.

Little Acres had a wonderful start to the month with a BBQ Fundraising event! A big thank you to friends, family and other community members for joining them and helping them raise £561.71 for their residents fund! Find Little Acres on Facebook here. Over at Woodville, Reg thoroughly enjoyed having his wife Beryl visit for their anniversary meal. It was amazing to share their special day together like always. Find Woodville on Facebook here. Residents from Tanworth Court enjoyed a lovely trip out to Sheldon Park followed by a picnic at Elmdon Park. Find Tanworth Court on Facebook here. Residents from Lyndon Croft enjoyed a trip out to Sheldon Country Farm where they enjoyed a little wander, meet some animals and stop for a slice of cake at the café. Find Lyndon Croft on Facebook here. Old Station Close joined Sandra in celebrating her 56th Birthday. She had a great day with a trip out to the Cotswold’s to see some animals. Residents from Acorn Close had a wonderful day out to Skegness, enjoying some lass seaside games, enjoyed relaxing on the beach and finished the day with some seaside fish and chips! Find Acorn Close on Facebook here. Chamberlaine Court invited Nick Golden back to perform one of his amazing sets for the residents. They all just love him and enjoyed his comedy sing-a-long so much! Find Chamberlaine Court on Facebook here. Riversway celebrated Jamaican Independence Day with a Jamaican-themed party in the garden. They danced to Jamaican music, different types of food and drinks and had a full day of laughs. Find Riversway on Facebook here. Residents from Stoneygate Road enjoyed a wonderful day out to Sheringham and Cromer. They enjoyed a walk around the towns, the beachfront with an ice cream followed by a traditional fish and chip dinner by the sea. Find Stoneygate Road on Facebook here. Stoneygate Oaklands enjoyed an afternoon with a variety of games, so much so they are looking forward to round two! Find Oaklands on Facebook here. Oakdene remembered Roy. They had a lovely milky coffee with a cake, so we joined together to have just that whilst we listened to Roy’s favourite band, ABBA. Find Oakdene on Facebook here. St Michaels had a visit from Zoo Labs who brought along some reptiles to meet the residents! The residents loved meeting them and were much braver than the staff. Find St Michaels on Facebook here. Springhill invited Louis Devere into the home to entertain the residents with an evening of songs, dancing and swooning! Find Springhill on Facebook here. Residents and Staff from Barons Park enjoyed a wonderful day out at Birmingham Wildlife Park.
