We had a brilliant afternoon playing a few rounds of “Play your cards right!”
Roy celebrated his birthday on Friday!
He loved his cards and gifts from us all and we all sang happy birthday as he blew out his candles on the cake!

Riversway in Bristol
We had a good game of bingo in the garden, and everyone won a prize!
We enjoyed some homemade ice cream that cooled us all down.
Tuesday 5th
Riversway in Bristol
Wilfred very kindly helped with the dishes after our activity.
He said he used to help at home so he didn’t mind at all!
Thank you, Wilfred!
Edward celebrated his 82nd birthday yesterday.
He loved his card and gifts from us all at Riversway.
We know how much Edward likes cake, so we got a big chocolate cake for him, and we decorated his room with balloons and banners to celebrate the big occasion.
He had such a lovely day!

We took a lovely trip out for a spot of shopping on the local market and shops.
We even treated ourselves to a lovely burger after the shopping!
Wednesday 6th
Firlands in Leicester
A huge well done to the team for receiving a 98% on their recent CCG visit.
A big thank you to all the nurses and staff, this is a fantastic outcome and you should all be very proud!

One of our lovely residents had a brilliant time playing some Air Hockey with her sister!
We had a surprise visit by the ice cream van!
So, of course, we all treated ourselves to one, they were very tasty!

Joyce enjoyed doing some water painting!
She had a nice cup of tea and a cake while she was busy painting.
Thursday 7th

Riversway Pub Club is back!
We had so much fun listening to lots of different music which we danced along to.
We enjoyed lots of refreshments, and we tried out a few games.
Everyone had a lovely afternoon together.

We had a cinema evening in the home, the residents enjoyed a showing of the new The Batman movie!
We all thought it was a very fun film.
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
We had some fun making some Butter Crunch Brittle Toffee.
It tasted so good, especially with a cuppa!
Friday 8th
St Michaels in Waddington
A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating!
This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!

We took a lovely trip out to our local to enjoy a good meal.
Everyone had a brilliant time, we really do enjoy getting out and spending some time together!
We really do love our new arcade room, it provides so much enjoyment for our residents!

David enjoyed a lovely sensory session with Linda.
He had a hand massage and a nice manicure as they listened to calming music with the sensory lights on and the oil defuser, it was all very relaxing.
He enjoyed an apple juice and a little cake after.
Saturday 9th
Clarence House and The Netherlands in Horncastle
Congratulations to Rachel and Craig on a wonderful wedding from all at Clarence House and the Netherlands.
Rachel is the acting senior at the Netherlands and we were all invited to share her special day.
We had a lovely time and we all think you both looked beautiful!

Dru and Grace enjoyed a sensory session with Ashleigh and Sue. They had a sugar scrub treatment which made their hand very soft.
They had lots of relaxing music and enjoyed a latte and tea with a chocolate pudding.
They both felt very pampered after the session.

We took a small trip out to Glapwell Garden Centre to enjoy a nice little wonder and afternoon tea.
It was such a wonderful afternoon!
Meadow View in Alcester
We played a spot of tennis…… indoors!
It was a lot of fun and everyone found it quite amusing.
Sunday 10th
Riversway in Bristol
We enjoyed a lovely church service.
We reminisced about the churches we belonged to and enjoyed each other’s stories.
We had tea in our tea set and cakes whilst singing lots of our favourite hymns.

The resident requested to go for a spot of lunch, so the team took them out to the local!
Everyone had a lovely time, and the food was very nice!
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
We went to Kingsmill Farm. There were lots to see and do there but one of our favourite parts was all the different flavours of ice cream and cake they have.
We decided to treat ourselves to some and it was fantastic.
Later, when the rain arrived we moved inside and had coffee until it passed. It was such a lovely day!
