Monday 31st

 

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We had a wonderful night out at the Oden to enjoy Halloween End. The film was pretty scary but good fun.   No better way to celebrate Halloween than with a spot of Pumpkin Carving. So that’s exactly what this resident got up to! Such a fun activity, we get to be messy and creative at the same time. We think the pumpkin turned out fantastic!  

Clarence House and the Netherlands in Horncastle

This is what happens when Clarence House and the Netherlands come together for a Halloween Party!! It all gets very spooky! Everyone had a brilliant time, always fun to get together for a celebration.  

Riversway in Bristol

Lauren from Flourish visited the home to do some county dancing with us. Everyone had fun with the light dancing and exercise. We all worked so hard that we needed refreshments after, which were very enjoyable. Teresa dressed up as a witch and had fun with the residents. Everyone was laughing and enjoying Teresa’s singing! We made some Halloween chocolate! Everyone enjoyed making up our own trick-or-treat bags of sweats and lots of choices!

We have made our home look very scary for Halloween today! Happy Halloween from everyone at Gilby! We hope you have a spooktastic day!

Oakdene in Mansfield

Yesterday residents and staff got into the Halloween spirit early as not everyone will be there for the fun tonight! They all had so much fun getting spooky!  

Beechlands in Leicester

We had so much fun making some Jack O’Lanterns for Halloween! We also saved the seeded as we carved for roasting! They tasted amazing!

We celebrated Halloween at the weekend. Staff and residents had lots of fun. We did face painting along with other Halloween-themed activities for the day, and spooky treats for everyone.

Tuesday 1st

 

Middlefield House in Gainsborough

Yesterday, A resident and staff members dressed up for Halloween. We also decorated the home for the day, and everyone was enjoying some Halloween sweeties!

Byron House in Skegness

We decorated our home for Halloween yesterday, everyone really loved how it looked! We also made some spoooooky cakes, which everyone really enjoyed!  

Chamberlain Court in Bedworth

We had a fun day yesterday with Pumpkin making and a Halloween party for all our residents! We had a disco followed by the residents will be watching a film to finish the day off.

Riversway in Bristol

We all have so much fun with Riversway Bingo! The best part is that everyone leaves with a gift!  

Oakdene in Mansfield

It’s been raining again, so we enjoyed some board games and a nice cuppa! We enjoyed these Halloween cakes after our tea last night! They were very yummy indeed!

Our wonderful residents had some fun for Halloween and made these brilliant Jack O’Lanterns! We think there are some really creative designs and they turned out amazing!

Here are some more of our spooky goings on yesterday. We had a fun day with lots of activities. The residents really enjoyed making these Halloween-themed treats.  

Beechlands in Leicester

We had so much fun at our Halloween Party last night. We all dressed up in some very spooky costumes, enjoyed some brilliant party food, danced to some scary music and enjoyed destroying our ghost pinata.  

Wednesday 2nd

We had a lovely Sunday lunch out at one of our locals. We all had a wonderful time, and the food was lovely.

Oakdene in Mansfield

Bowling trip once again! We love it. After a few rounds, we head to the onsite cafe for a spot of grub, such a fun day.  

Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester

Halloween at Oaklands was enjoyed by all. The residents took part in making pumpkins and also the pumpkin smile game. Residents loved the buffet of food that the staff put on. It was a wonderful Halloween!    

Riversway in Bristol

Maria celebrated her 90th birthday on 27th October! She loved the flowers, chocolates and cards we gave her from everyone at Riversway. We decorated her room with balloons and banners, and she enjoyed our singing too!   We took Victoria out for a girly trip into town as she wanted to look in Primark. She has not been in town for over two years so we made the most of it and enjoyed lunch in the bay horse. Victoria can’t wait for our next trip out!

Eyes Down, Look In, Scream Boo! As part of our Halloween celebrations, we all enjoyed a good round of spooky bingo!

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

Halloween at Stoneygate Road in Leicester is always so much fun. They decorated the home for the event, which everyone loved. In the evening, a few residents dressed up for a Halloween Party. The staff put on a fantastic buffet for the residents and played spooky music for everyone to dance along to!

Earlier in the week, we had a lovely colouring session to get everyone in the spooky mood for Halloween.  

Riversway in Bristol

Kat and Lisa took Eva to the cafe for a lovely chat, latte, and cake! The weather was so nice that we decided to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. We popped into the CoOp after so Eva could choose a few things she fancied. She picked a mix of grapes and chocolate muffins.

We had our Halloween Party earlier this week. Everyone had so much fun, we played apple and chocolate bobbing with a round of eating a doughnut without hands. We also had some brilliant food and some spooky music, such a fun day.  

Friday 4th

We got ready for our Halloween party by making and decorating these chocolate buns! It was such good fun! We think they turned out very well indeed!

Westerlands Care Village in Brough (Brough Lodge)

We had a brilliant time this Halloween with lots of different activities going on in the home for the residents to enjoy. Here are just a few examples of the fun we had this Spooky Season.

Riversway in Bristol

Leslie and Lisa enjoyed a wander around Bristol. They started in Broadmead, and then Lisa pushed Leslie up to the SS Great Britain. It was such lovely weather that they enjoyed lunch outside, watching the boats go past.  

Oakdene in Mansfield

We enjoyed a nice wander to the corn shop, followed by some card games. A brilliant way to spend the day.

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

We had a lovely meal out at one of our locals. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the food was fantastic. We are looking forward to the next visit.  

Saturday 5th

 

Old Station Close in Shepshed

A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!  

Riversway in Bristol

We had a pamper day with lots of residents enjoying a hand massage and nails painted. We enjoyed lovely chats together whilst getting pampered.  

Oakdene in Mansfield

The residents from Oakdene in Mansfield decided they would like to go shopping in Sutton, so they did just that. It was a lovely day out, and they finished it off with a burger for a treat.

Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester

We have been doing arts and crafts for remembrance day whilst watching documentaries about the day and its meaning.  

Sunday 6th

We enjoyed a few rounds of cards. Always good fun!  

Riversway in Bristol

We enjoyed a little church service where we sang lots of lovely hymns. We also visited some residents in their rooms to sing some hymns to them. Everyone enjoyed lots of chats about the church and how we all love singing our hymns.
