Riversway in Bristol
We got together to have some fun with the parachute and balloons.
We all worked hard to keep the balloons inside the parachute, whilst we listened to music, it was so much fun!
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
It was Green Juice Day on the 26th so we made some green juice. To be honest, it’s more a smoothie.
We used half a Banana one whole pear and topped it all off with some spinach, added some Almond milk, blend and walla Green Juice!
The residents loved it and even asked for more!
Tuesday 1st
Riversway in Bristol
We had lots of fun playing games with balloons to music!
Everyone had so much fun.
Today we are celebrating Dignity Action Day.
We made these little choice cards. They can be used as a choice for residents to point to if they are unable to communicate by speech.
David helped to paint some of them
We spoke to the residents about the importance of the 10 Dignity Doโs.
We made these quotes on laminated paper and they held up the ones that they found very were important to them!
We made these little cakes with the words connected to the 10 Dignity Doโs!
We handed them out to the residents who said they were very tasty!
Beechlands in Leicester
Carol’s (our lovely manager) 2-year-old granddaughter helped her Mum decorate some cakes and biscuits for Dignity In Care Day today.
Thank You, our residents at Beechlands and Stoneygate Road loved them!
We had a brilliant Dignity Day at Beechlands, everyone wore their special outfits for the day and talked about what the day means to them.
We would also like to say, Thank You, once again to Carol’s granddaughter for the wonderful cakes and biscuits! We had a blast handing them out around the home and even more fun eating them!

For dignity day today, these lovely ladies wanted to decorate a cake, so we made it happen!
And we are glad we did, it was a very tasty treat at teatime!

We had an afternoon tea in aid of dignity in care day today, everyone had a wonderful time!
Wednesday 2nd
Riversway in Bristol
A few of us decided to have a proper pamper day!
Joyce, Rita, Shirley, and Brenda all had their hair washed and set, whilst we listened to some soft relaxing music in the background!
They had a magazine of their choice to read and also cake and tea.
We think the ladies look lovely!

We enjoyed a nice trip out to The Rufford pub to have a lovely Sunday Roast last weekend!
Everyone had a brilliant time and even enjoyed a pudding after such a large Sunday dinner!

We had a wonderful time on our walk!

We had a good spread that some of the residents helped create and celebratory drinks were shared by all.
Thursday 3rd

We are constantly playing games within the home, pool and connect 4 are just some of our favourites.
Stoneygate Road in Leicester
We visited a different pub for our weekly day out for a spot of lunch.
The residents seem to be enjoying visiting different pubs and finding something new or a fan favourite on the menu.

Some of the residents had a lovely pamper session thanks to Teresa!
She did their hair whilst they enjoyed a good old chat, cake and a magazine.
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a Chinese New Years meal last Monday to celebrate the year of the tiger.
Residents enjoyed either sweet and sour or beef and mushroom curry with prawn crackers.
Everyone had a fab time celebrating the new year!
We celebrated 2 Birthdays in the home yesterday.
We celebrated it with a nice homemade birthday cake made by Sadie, one of our cooks.
Friday 4th
Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester
We received this lovely thank you card and message from a resident’s family member, thanking us for all the love and support we give to her family and all the other residents in our care!
Thank You for the message, it is always heartwarming to hear such kind words!

Monica and Connie spent some time with Linda and made these beautiful decorative jars!
They had a lovely chat and of course, enjoyed a cuppa and slices of cake!
They put t lights in and we all thought that they will look very effective when it gets darker.

27th of Jan was Chocolate Cake Day, and as such, we decided to make our own.
The residents all worked hard together and made this very delicious cake!

We had so much fun making some Valentine Cards today ready to share out on the big day.
With lots of cutting and sticking, everyone had the chance to make something that suits them.

We really enjoyed doing some crafts and painting for Womenโs Heart Week and for the Chinese New Year.
We think they all turned out amazing!
Saturday 5th

We had a lovely trip out enjoying some sights, we enjoyed a nice warm drink and some snacks whilst we were out and about.

It has been surprisingly nice recently, not too nice but nice enough that we decided to enjoy a coffee outside!
Two of our residents decided they wanted a Hungry Horse lunch!
Everyone had a brilliant time, the food was amazing and we had some fun playing with different filters on our phones cameras! Such a brilliant day!

They had a nice chat and enjoyed a cup of tea and a slice of cake whilst decorating.
Rita was busy folding up the washing as you can see she found something funny!

In China, Cherry Blossom’s represents the power, dominance of women, as well as being connected to love and beauty.

So that’s exactly what one of our residents did, and we took some fun photos whilst we were at it!
