Andy enjoyed a pamper thanks to Lisa for giving him a lovely haircut. He said it made him feel better to have it short again in this heat.
Tuesday 30th
Clarence House in Horncastle
The wonderful Cat Coppini, the chef here at Clarence House in Horncastle has been busy this August undertaking the Swim15 challenge for Bowel Cancer UK! She has dedicated the challenge to a fellow Clarence House colleague whose mum-in-law sadly lost her battle with bowel cancer over the weekend. Rather than swimming in a pool, she chose to swim it all in open water doing the full 15km over the month! Yesterday she finished the Swim by completing the 858m of Moggs Eye to bring her overall total to 15,331. The eaves were huge and were being knocked back and forth but she was determined to complete the goal. A huge well done to Cat for her amazing achievement. Barbara enjoyed having her hair set whilst she enjoyed ice cream and listened to some 50s music. It was a lovely afternoon!

We had a wonderful day out at the Redwings Horse Sanctuary.
It was such a lovely day out, we had a delightful picnic and meet some amazing Horses who were all just so lovely and kind animals.

The rain finally arrived here in Mansfield, so we had a pamper day in the home to help pass the time. The residents loved how fresh it made them feel.
Wednesday 31st
Oakdene in Mansfield
A small one-on-one trip out for a spot of shopping. We got a few bits we needed and some treats.
Riversway in Bristol
During the recent heat wave, we created this refreshing lemonade trolly for us to hand out lots of different types of lemonade to the residents.
Everyone said it was just what they needed to cool down.
Chamberlaine Court in Bedworth
We had a brilliant time with the Creative Mojo team last week. Everyone worked so hard to create some stunning pieces of art, however, Wilma Finlay was our champion for the day!
Stoneygate Road in Leicester
We had a fun afternoon making some cakes and decorating some biscuits. Everyone was so proud of their hard work and they tasted fantastic with a good cuppa!
Woodville Residential Care Home in Woodville
A huge congratulations to our lovely care assistant Kerry for 30 years working here at Woodville! This is such an amazing achievement and we thank you for all the hard work you have done over the years!
Thursday 1st
Riversway in Bristol
Lutterworth Country House
Another fantastic afternoon here at Lutterworth Country House with some cake decorating. Everyone got a chance to make their cakes in whatever style they wanted. And we can confirm they tasted just as good as they looked!!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a wonderful day playing a few different games in the home. We also had a surprise visit from the Ice Cream Van whilst we were playing. Such a nice treat.
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
We made this delicious peach pie! We decided to have it as an extra dessert at tea time, and it went down like a treat! Yum Yum!
Friday 2nd
Woodville Residential Care Home in Woodville
A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We had a wonderful trip out to the local for a spot of lunch. There were lots of different options on the menu so everyone was able to have something they liked, and of course, we treated ourselves to some dessert after.
Riversway in Bristol
We had a wonderful afternoon listening to the beautiful Shannon, who come back to Riversway to sing lots of different songs. We all enjoyed ice cream as the weather has been so hot whilst we listened.
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
We had a trip to the local Cinema to see the new film Elvis as a one-to-one for a resident who is a big fan of the king of rock and roll! It was a wonderful evening out and a brilliant film.
Meadow View in Alcester
It’s all fun and games here at Meadow View! We had a brilliant exercise session with some ball games and hula hooping! Everyone did such a brilliant job!!
Stoneygate Road in Leicester
We had a brilliant afternoon with some Karaoke in the home! We played a wide range of music for people to sing along to and had some special requests.
Saturday 3rd
Chestnut House in Marton
An absolutely outstanding achievement of 100% Infection Prevention & Control Inspection by our team here at Chestnut House. The home has been rated Green throughout, with no recommendations and the inspector commented that they were made to feel very welcome in the Home. A 100% rating is extremely difficult and a rear achievement, a massive well done and a big thank you to the whole team for your ongoing commitment to IPC. You should all be extremely proud of your achievement!
Riversway in Bristol
Lisa and Sue took Eva over to the Riverside Cafe for lunch. They had a lovely slow walk over the bridge where they saw a few boats go past and some ducks. Eva said she had a really nice time. We will be popping over again as the food was delicious.

We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the Downton Abbey movie in the cinema room! Everyone loved the movie!
Clarence House in Horncastle
Andrew sadly had a stroke on the 29th of July!
He spent all this time in Lincoln hospital, where the staff were fantastic.
He came home to Clarence House on the 29th of August.
He recovered so so well!!!
