Monday 29th

 

Brackendale House

Riversway

Michael enjoyed watering the garden with Helen. They had a lovely time walking around the garden looking at all the beautiful flowers and plans. After, Mike enjoyed an ice cream for all his hard work.  

Tuesday 30th

 

White Acres

The sun was shining, so we took the opportunity to have some fun in our garden. We got some new games for us all the play. Everyone said the best day ever!  

Riversway

We enjoyed tea and cakes this morning in our beautiful garden. We listen to the birds singing and enjoyed the fresh air. Everyone says it was a beautiful morning.

Oakdene

We enjoyed a spot of lunch and the sunshine at one of our locals, The Young Vanish. As always, it was a lovely meal and a brilliant trip out.

Clarence House

We took a trip out to a nice garden centre for a spot of lunch, it was lovely.

Wednesday 31st

 

The Fieldings

A couple of our residents took a trip out on Sunday to enjoy a wonderful service at our local church. They both said they had a fantastic time connecting with the local community.  

Riversway

We enjoyed some ice creams in the garden so we could appreciate the beautiful weather!
It’s been amazing to spend so much time enjoying our wonderful garden and we plan to do as much of this as possible.

Oakdene

Counting on from our amazing break thought last week. We have been on many more walks. Getting out and enjoying the sun has been a massive step forward.

Thursday 1st

 

Chamberlaine Court

We had a fun Music Therapy session. This is a regular session, but the residents just love the music and enjoy getting involved.
 

Oakdene

Last weekend we enjoyed Sunday lunch at the local pub after the residents requested to do so. The grub as always was fantastic, and everyone enjoyed some time out of the home together.

Riversway

We enjoyed having Lauren back from Flourish in the home once again.
The residents held the maypole ribbons whilst Lauren helped the residents lift them up and down.
We had so much fun with Lauren.

The Fieldings

Coronation weekend was a lot of fun. We made some crowns and reefs to celebrate the king and enjoyed watching the event itself with a slice of cake and some strawberries and cream.

Friday 2nd

A nice relaxing craft session in the afternoon is just what we need to chill out.

Riversway

We enjoyed another Riversway Bingo session. It was lots of fun and excitement with Brenda and Alan coming out on top and winning, however, everyone here at Riversway Bingo goes away with a prize.

Oakdene

We celebrated Eileen’s birthday on Wednesday. She had a wonderful day and really enjoyed the cake we got for her!
We had a much-needed pamper session.
A new colour on our nails feels so much nicer.

Chamberlaine Court

On Saturday afternoon, some of our lovely ladies decided to colour in footballs in preparation for the big playoff football match for Coventry City at Wembley. Although the result was not what they wanted, they had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed the build-up to the match.

Saturday 3rd

 

Riversway

Welcome to Karaoke in the Lounge here at Riversway. We enjoyed singing along to lots of our favourite songs. It was such a warm day that we decided to take a break to enjoy an ice cream.  

Oakdene

We enjoyed a more relaxing version of bingo in the home. It was a chilled way to spend an afternoon.

We enjoyed a spot of car boot shopping! It was a lovely relaxing stroll.

Sunday 4th

 

The Fieldings

We had a wonderful trip to Eyam. We enjoyed a lovely wander around the village, stopping in a local coffee shop for a slice of cake and a drink. After, we enjoyed a look around the local village museum learning all the wired and wonderful facts about Eyam.

The residents enjoyed a dance after staff member Emma show off her moves.  

Riversway

We had some pet therapy with lovely Benny, who came in with his owner, Lorna. We love Benny, he is such a kind friendly dog to who we were able to give lots of cuddles and treats.
