Monday 28th

 

Peaker Park in Market Harborough

Chamberlaine Court in Bedworth

A massive well done to the whole on achieving a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!  

Beechlands in Leicester

Debbie enjoyed a lovely game of Spooky Jenga. She had so much fun and enjoyed a good cuppa whilst we played!  

Riversway in Bristol

Bridget and June enjoyed a game of pairs on the giant tablet. They said it was great fun they enjoyed a cuppa and a cake after.    

Tuesday 1st

 

Clarence House in Horncastle

We had a wonderful afternoon of Pizza making. Everyone enjoyed being able to choose their toppings and making exactly what they wanted!  

Riversway in Bristol

Today we got lots of different flowers for the residents to do some flower arranging, everyone choose the flowers to put in their vases for their rooms. We spoke about different types of flowers and were smelling them as we made the arrangements. We enjoyed tea and cakes it was a lovely afternoon and the flowers look beautiful  

Stoneygate Road in Leicester

We are continuing one of our favourite past times with a trip out to a local pub for a spot of lunch. The resident like trying new places and the food was brilliant. We all had a fantastic time with lots of laughs.  

Wednesday 2nd

 

Chestnut House in Marton

Well done team, we managed to achieve our 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is all from your hard work, you should all be so proud of the result!

Westerlands Care Village in East Riding

We had a fun afternoon at Elloughton House making these Fruit Kebabs! Everyone had a brilliant time, and they tasted amazing!  

Riversway in Bristol

Today we were extremely lucky to have a visit from the lovely Marlo! He was very pleased to pop around to see all our residents and get lots of cuddles! As you can see everyone was just as happy to see him too!  

Oakdene in Mansfield

We had a wonderful trip out bowling, followed by a burger and chips! The residents had a brilliant time, and a big thank you to Alison and Tracy for taking them!  

Lutterworth Country House in Bitteswell

For Shrove Tuesday we enjoyed some fun activities and games followed by some Pancakes. Everyone had such a wonderful time and we all really enjoyed the afternoon treat.  

Barons Park in Kirby Muxloe

A huge congratulations to the team for having just received a score of 99% on their ICare Inspection today. This is a fantastic result for the Team and the Home, you should all be very proud!  

Thursday 3rd

 

Riversway in Bristol

Baking with Linda is back on we made some delicious pineapple puff pastries. We enjoyed a good chat about our cooking days and what puff pastry is used for. We had a nice cuppa and enjoyed our dessert we made with some cream, they tasted delicious!

Westerlands Care Village in East Riding

On Tuesday we had a brilliant afternoon at Elloughton House making some yummy Pancakes! We had a range of toppings for people to chose from, with Nuttler and Squirty Cream being a favourite!  

Cherry Tree Lodge in Lincoln

We had a wonderful World Book Day today, with our lovely residents making a poster about their favourite book and what it means to them.  

Barons Park in Kirby Muxloe

The staff dressed up for World Book Day! We had a fantastic day with the residents, talking about who we had dressed up as and what their favourite books are.

Friday 4th

 

Riversway in Bristol

A huge Happy Birthday to Rossana, who turned 90 last Sunday. We arranged an afternoon tea party in her room with a few of the other residents. We decorated her room with banners balloons it was a lovely afternoon and took in the big iPad tablet for her to watch some Irish dancing and listen to some old Irish music! We all had a lovely afternoon with her with our lovely tea set, especially Rossana!   Once more we had “Baking with Linda!” We made a key lime pie it was lots of fun and laughter while getting to work! It tasted delicious with a cuppa after all the hard work!  

Little Acres in Nuthall

We held a Circus Day this week at Little Acres! The home was decorated in a circus theme, and everyone got dressed up, staff included. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed getting involved in activities using juggling balls, hula hoops and dancing ribbons. We also enjoyed a circus-themed buffet and danced to some circus music.

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We love pancake day at The Fieldings and Kelly got stuck straight in separating the eggs so we could make a delicious batch of Pancakes. They were so good, and the residents enjoyed them with some Nutella!  

Saturday 5th

 

Oakdene in Mansfield

We had some one on one sessions in the home. The residents love a chance to chat with the staff and play some competitive games with them.  

Riversway in Bristol

We had some beautiful flowers to hand out to the residents, everyone was thrilled with them. A very big thank you to the local Coop for donations of flowers!   Bleddyn loved his daffodils and cakes for St. David’s day! We did try to get Welsh cakes but Bleddyn was quite happy with his cinnamon buns.  

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

Another recipe swap session, this time Banana Bread. We had a wonderful time making it, and just a nice team eating it! Yum Yum!  

Sunday 6th

 

Westerlands Care Village in East Riding

We had a wonderful Pancake day last Tuesday at Brough Lodge. We made stacks of pancakes for the residents with plenty of toppings for them to choose from! All the residents really enjoyed the treat.  

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

The residents decided that for dinner they would like a nice Vegetable Curry.
So the residents got a chopping and made a wonderful dinner!

Riversway in Bristol

David really enjoyed making the old fashioned puzzle with Teresa. t Teresa was telling David jokes which were making him laugh, they both enjoyed a hot chocolate!   We celebrated Pancake day on 1st March with the residents. We handed out some tasty pancakes from our trolleys along with toppings so they could choose their own. We also took the frying pan around with a pancake in so they could toss a pancake, which was so much fun! We also spent some time talking about Shrove Tuesday and the meaning of it being the start of Lent.  

Oaklands in Leicester

Last week the residents went out for a pub lunch with Michael (Barry Harry), they really enjoyed themselves and Michael took them for a drive through the countryside after. We are also happy to report that Michael stuck to his diet during the trip, he’s doing so well! 🙂
