A Week at PrimeLife 26th September – 2nd October 2022

Monday 26th

 

Seacroft Court in Skegness

We had a lovely visit from the Mayor of Skegness. The residents wanted to sign the book of condolence for Her Majesty The Queen, so the Mayor kindly brought the book in for them. It was a lovely visit. Everyone was so pleased to have a chance to share their thoughts.    

Riversway in Bristol

In our craft group, we made these pretty flower canvases. We used lots of different colour buttons and stuck them onto the branches. We think they look lovely and will be hanging up. We enjoyed tea and cakes while we were busy working.    

Oakdene in Mansfield

The weather might have started cooling down, but that isn’t going to stop us from enjoying the outside.

Tuesday 27th

A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!  

Oakdene in Mansfield

We had another wonderful trip out for a spot of lunch.   Happy Birthday to Haydn, who celebrated his 81st birthday recently. He got some lovely gifts from friends, family and from us all here at Oakdene. In the afternoon, we took a trip out to our local for a good meal and for a cheeky pint of Guinness.  

Tanworth Court in Solihull

We went on a short sightseeing tour to Kenilworth Castle and then to Warwick Castle, through Kenilworth and Warwick. Everyone really enjoyed the sites. We also stopped off for a cheeky drink from Mcdonald’s en route!  

Riversway in Bristol

We welcomed Alive into the home for some chair exercise dancing. We all had lots of fun with the balloons, and feathers, and making a lot of noise with our musical instruments.    

Wednesday 28th

 

Meadow View in Alcester

We received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team 👏👏

For comic book day last week, we had a very special visitor to the home!
Spidey came and joined us for the day and the residents loved it.

Riversway in Bristol

We made these lovely beech-themed wooden hangers. Each resident put meaningful quotes on them to make them unique to each of us. We have hung them in the resident’s room.  

Oakdene in Mansfield

Just a nice walk on a chilly autumn morning.  

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We had an evening playing some classic casino games. The best part was eating the prizes, chocolate coins do taste amazing.  

Thursday 29th

 

Oakdene in Mansfield

We have a brilliant mix of ways our residents love to relax and let off steam. A few games of air hockey is one, but others love some rounds of different card games.

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We made doughnuts! It was a fun cooking session and they tasted so nice!  

Riversway in Bristol

Andy from Riversway in Bristol loves his fruit so the staff made him up a fruit basket! He was very delighted, as you can see!  

Friday 30th

Oakdene in Mansfield

We took a cheeky trip out to McDonald’s. Sometimes we just need to treat ourselves. Happy Birthday to Clifford. Clifford is one of our newest residents and we think this helped him to feel right at home! He loved his cake and gifts from us here at Oakdene.  

Riversway in Bristol

We had the beautiful Shannon back singing for our lovely residents of Riversway! Everyone had a lovely afternoon with lots of singing, and enjoyed cakes and tea while Shannon entertained us.  

Saturday 1st

 

Riversway in Bristol

Linda took the iPad up to Rosanna so they could watch some Irish dancing together!
They enjoyed a nice cup of tea and a cake while having a lovely chat about all the Irish dancing as they watched.

Oakdene in Mansfield

Alex took one of our wonderful residents out for a spot of lunch and a bit of shopping on the market. It was a lovely afternoon out.

Sunday 2nd

We took a small trip out to spend some time relaxing at the arcades.

Andy T is back! We all said what a fun afternoon it was with lots of singing, and we look forward to seeing Andy again soon!
