We made these delicious fruit tarts. We enjoyed cutting up the fruit and mixing all the ingredients together. Whilst we worked we had lots of chats and enjoyed each otherβs company.Oakdene in Mansfield

The new LA CafΓ© is now open at Little Acers and welcomes all. We have a variety of lovely homemade cakes and treats available to purchase for a small amount. All money goes back into our home for the residents. We look forward to seeing some of you within our new LA Cafe.Wednesday 27th
PrimeLife
Managers from the homes and the Quality Matters Team came together to undertake some training on our newly installed LifeVac system.
The LifeVac system has already saved a life in one of our homes and even though we hope a choking incident doesn’t occur we are confident we have the correct tools to help save lives.

We welcomed back the wonderful Andy T once again. Everyone had a great time in our pretty garden listening to Andy sing some old classics. We had lots of drinks and ice lollies due to the very hot weather and made sure to have our sun hats on and umbrellas up. We had a fun outdoor exercise session with some hula hooping and badminton. We even got our outdoor bowling set out and had a few rounds. Everyone had a lot of fun and was a brilliant way to get a workout in.Thursday 28th

We had a lovely visit from Zoo Lab, who offer these wounder Animal Therapy sessions. Everyone had a brilliant time meeting a range of interesting animals, some of us were scared at first but we all gave it a go.Friday 29th

One of our favourite ways to pass the time is with a few board games.
A home favourite is frustration, which really does help us deal with some of that built-up frustration we have.

We had the beautiful Shannon in the home singing her old 40s 50s and 60s music. We all enjoyed her singing while we had a cold drink and a cake. We are looking forward to seeing her next month.

Happy Birthday to Sue. She had a wonderful day, with loads of presents from friends and family followed by a trip out to the Bridge Tea room.
Little Acres in Nuthall
This week we adopted two Guinea pigs.
The residents have named them Winnie and Sugar.
We have enjoyed helping them to settle in at their new home.
They are already very loved and have become a big part of the Little Acre family.
