Oakdene

We received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team πŸ‘πŸ‘
Β
“Cannot speak highly enough of Oakdene. The staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble.
Β
Mum has settled really well and loves getting involved in games etc. Always out – more than me! Brilliant now – set up the dining room with breakfast bar – like a hotel – promotes independence for everyone.
Back to the old days of Mum making me tea!.”
The weather has been so nice, so we have been spending more and more time outside. The residents have really enjoyed playing bowling and ringtoss.

Riversway

To celebrate Father’s Day yesterday, We invited friends and families to join us for a barbecue to celebrate all the Dads of Riversway.
We played lots of music that we sang along to followed by a few games of higher or lower with the big cards.
Everyone had a wonderful Day.
All the dads at Riversway got a lovely Dad cup with a bar of chocolate and a packet of sweets wrapped in clear paper tied in a bow as a special gift from everyone in the home.

Clarence House

We enjoyed a spot of baking, making some mini fairy cakes. They were very nice, we enjoyed them with a good cuppa!

Tuesday 20th

Barons Park

We received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team πŸ‘πŸ‘
Β
“First impressions count and for us, it was excellent. We were given early access to his room prior to admission to ensure familiar surroundings upon his arrival from the Hospice.
The nursing element of his care is very professional and of a high standard whilst not being too intrusive.
Baron’s Park does everything that it says and goes above and beyond for our loved one and for the family.
We as a whole family feel very reassured that he is in safe hands.”

Clarence House

We had a lovely time at the cinema. Kinema in the Woods is a unique place, the screen uses a rear projector from behind it rather than from behind us giving a very traditional feel. We loved it there!

Oakdene

We had a wonderful time at the Mansfield Carnival on Saturday. There was so much going on, with colourful performers parading around the town and live music being performed on stage. Everyone had a great time, we even joined in with a bit of street dancing.

Riversway

We made sausage rolls whilst enjoying singing along to some music.
Once the rolls were finished, we added some Happy Father’s Day flags and then enjoyed them with a cuppa! We had a really fun afternoon.

Wednesday 21st

Β
“Netherlands care home has given a very homely environment and safe one. No one could ask for more.”

Mill House

Yesterday we said a fond farewell to Claudio, our wonderful manager. The team had a little get-together so they could have the chance to say goodbye and to thank Claudio for everything he has done! #GoodBye, Cluadio, you will be missed!

Riversway

During “Baking with Lisa” we made delicious Tiffin. We had tea and tiffin with a good singalong after we had finished! It was a very fun afternoon. A big thank you to our local co-op for donating these beautiful bunches of flowers. We handed them out to our residents and had lots of lovely smiley faces.

Old Station Close

We opened “Old Station Hawaii Beach” to enjoy while the sun is shining! The residents have enjoyed a beach party, a bbq and the chance to relax on their very own beach. 🏝️ A big thank you to Steve and James from the estates’ team for helping us to create this amazing experience for the residents… they have loved it!

Pat and June enjoyed a pamper day! They had a hand massage and their nails painted. There were lots of different colours to choose from. They enjoyed a nice cup of tea and a chat whilst being pampered.   We spent some lovely time in our beautiful garden, listening to music and enjoying an ice cream.

Friday 23rd

Riversway

Evelyn, Pat, June and Greta took a trip to the Riverside cafΓ© to enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake. We also enjoyed a little walk along the river where we saw some ducks. It was a lovely morning with a gentle breeze, which is just what we needed in this hot weather.

Clarence House

We enjoyed a spot of gardening here at Clarence House. We planted some flowers to add some colour to our garden plus some tomatoes.

Saturday 24th

Riversway

We got together to have a few rounds of Ten Pin Bowling in our front garden. We split into two teams so that everyone could have a go but also compete against each other. We have really enjoyed making the most of our beautiful gardens while the sun is out.

We do love a visit from our hairdresser, everyone feels so fresh after a good cut!

Sunday 25th
