A Week at PrimeLife 15th – 21st November 2021

Monday 15th

Riversway in Bristol

We had fantastic Hymn Services where we all sang our favourite hymns! We also enjoyed a chit chat about the churches we all used to belong.   Another lovely hymn service we enjoyed singing our favourites! We all spoke about the churches we used to belong to and at what ages we used to go. We enjoyed some lovely refreshments after one of our favourites, a hot cross bun!  

Tuesday 16th

Bridget and Joyce enjoyed a pamper session! They had their nails painted and we all had a lovely chat together.  

Wednesday 17th

 

Kirklees in Grimsby

Last Sunday, we stood outside the home to watch the remembrance parade.
We then joined in with the 2 minutes silence to remember those who we have lost!

June and Brenda enjoyed a lovely pamper session! They had their nails painted and enjoyed a nice cuppa and a chat whilst being pampered!   For Remembrance Day, a lovely lady called Margaret very kindly hand knitted these beautiful poppy’s!  We handed out to all the residents, and they were delighted and wore them with pride!

We celebrated remembrance weekend last Sunday!
Getting together, wearing our poppies, for a 2-minute silence to pay respect for the fallen men and women who keep us protected and for those who stood against evil many many years ago.
 

Thursday 18th

Alison went into town and did some shopping which she really enjoyed ❤️  

The Hollies in South Normanton

On the 11th hour, we did our 1-minute silence to remember all our soldiers who unfortunately lost their lives fighting for our country, we placed our wreaths with pride. THANK YOU OUR HERO’S we will remember  

Oakdene in Mansfield

The residents and staff celebrated remembrance weekend last Sunday!
We all stood along with the nation to pay their respect to all whom we lost protecting our shores.

Barbara had a lovely chat with Lisa! They also listened to some old 50s tunes. Barbara said she really enjoyed the time they spent together!

It’s Micky Mouse Day today and the staff dressed up to entertain the residents. Everyone had a brilliant time and really enjoyed the silliness of the day!

Wilfred enjoyed a nice cuppa and chat with Teresa as they looked through an old book called “Remember When!”

We are still non the wise on who donated the Cuddly Cats to the home, but the resident absolutely love them so thank you!  

Saturday 20th

 

Old Station Close in Shepshed

Last week our residents went to Blackpool for a holiday.
They had an amazing time, saw the Blackpool Illuminations, and visited Blackpool Zoo whilst away.
We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to Michael for taking the residents in his bus and staying away with them to enable everyone to be able to travel out and about whilst in Blackpool.
 

The Netherlands in Horncastle

How does a day out to a Dinosaur Park and an Aquarium sounds? Well, the residents thought that this was a brilliant idea and had been a very long time coming. Everyone enjoyed seeing all the colourful fish, learning about them and where trilled in finding buried treasure, if not a little scared of the T-Rex!

Harry, Edwin, and Jacqueline all really enjoyed the treats we popped in to give them!   Stoneygate Road in Leicester Lunch out at the bowling alley sounded like a brilliant idea and that’s just what some of the residents did! They basically had the place to themselves, bowl a few games and had some grub, it was a fun day out.  

Sunday 21st

 

Meadow View in Alcester

Nothing better than a chance to sit down together and enjoy a game of cards, and that’s exactly what we got together to do.
Everyone had a brilliant time playing together.
 

Riversway in Bristol

Rita spent some time in the activity room doing water painting! She had a lovely time singing and being pampered whilst enjoying her painting!   We sang some beautiful hymns with Hazel! She really enjoyed them as we sang some of her favourites that she used to sing when she went to church.  

Oakdene in Mansfield

Two little ducks – 22! We enjoyed an afternoon of bingo! It’s so much fun to get together for a small competition.
