Little Acres in Nuthall
Last Friday residents of Little Acres enjoyed a day trip out to Razzle Dazzle pots, where they got to pick out and paint some pots of their choice after, they then enjoyed going for a lovely meal at The Ram Inn. Residents of Little Acres decided that the home manager Emma should support them on this trip alongside Kerry & Louise as they felt she deserved a day out of the office and would enjoy the fun. They all had a fantastic day, and thoroughly enjoyed their day out. We can’t wait to collect our painted pots next week once they have been glazed and baked in the kiln so keep your eyes out for some pictures of our finished pots.Oakdene in Mansfield

Springhill in Accrington
We received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team 👏👏
“My mother has vascular dementia and was admitted to Springhill Care Home four years ago. From her assessment to her admission and at every point beyond, the team could not have been more supportive and understanding.
In this time, her condition has varied, and at every point, the staff kept us fully informed, be it a change in medication or diet or even assistance engaging in the minefield that county councils can be, with assessments and appraising levels of needs and care. This was especially helpful throughout lockdowns when visiting was erratic, and we welcomed updates by call and newsletter emails.
With this change in condition, staff can adjust the level of support needed, be it personal care or dietary needs. Every experience has been positive, professional and caring.
Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. As a retired nurse herself, she feels comfortable and supported. We will always be grateful to the Springhill team for their love and support.”

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.” From Residents and Staff at The Mount, with much LOVE 🙂Thursday 16th
Peaker Park in Market Harborough
We received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team 👏👏
“Mum moved into Peaker Park in February 2018 and remained there until her death in January this year. During that time, she lived in several of the units and in each, she received nothing but kindness and care.
In the early days of her stay, she enjoyed trips out, whether to the park, the garden centre or further afield. Later she would sometimes join in activities within her unit, enjoying cooking or a manicure, but if she chose not to be sociable, her choice was always respected.
Throughout lockdown, we could always call, even when visits were impossible, and the staff kept us updated on her health and wellbeing. In her final months, as Mum became more frail and confused, all the staff worked tirelessly to keep her comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble, and she was treated with dignity and tenderness to the very end. Their care even extended to us, her family, and it gave us great comfort. I can recommend Peaker Park without reservation.”
