Riversway in Bristol

Bridget and June enjoyed making these beautiful decoupage hearts, they stuck little pieces of paper on the hearts to make this beautiful effect!
They had a lovely chat together and of course, had tea and cakes whilst they worked!

Our entrance has been transformed into a festive display with some Candy Cain Ballons!
We think it’s such a brilliant way to welcome everyone and create some festive cheer!
 

Kirklees in Grimsby

We had “letters to Santa” day this week with everyone writing to Santa with their present requests, posting them in the “post-box” with the residents hoping to receive a letter back from the big man himself!
 

Tuesday 14th

 

Glengarriff House in Market Rasen

Santa visited us in the home today with lots of presents!  

Kirklees in Grimsby

It was a Christmas Cards and Snowman making session for the residents.
Everyone had so much fun and we were so happy with the outcome that we are going to use them to decorate the home.
 

Riversway in Bristol

David had a lovely time with Teresa as they looked at some books, played a game on the sensory iPad and had a game of table football!
Teresa spent some time singing to David and he was laughing very hard!
 

Meadow View in Alcester

The naughty elf has been up to some mischief, making some “hundreds and thousands” angles and trying to climb to the roof, whilst making a mess in his wake.
He seems to be out of control this year!
 

Wednesday 15th

 

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield!

An afternoon of decorating gingerbread Christmas trees was enjoyed by all!
Everyone had a brilliant time, and they tasted better than they looked.
 

Riversway in Bristol

We had a little pub club in the lounge! We put on our Christmas props, stuck on the Christmas tunes, and enjoyed loads of drinks and snacks.
Everyone has a brilliant time with lots of laughs and smiles shared.

Brackendale House in Sheringham

Our lovely neighbours baked and dropped off these beautiful cakes to say Merry Christmas to everyone in the home and a huge thank you and well done for doing such a good job caring for our residents!

Thursday 16th

 

Clarence House in Horncastle

The town of Horncastle has come together to create a Window Wanderland and we took part.

Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We enjoyed a game of a Christmas Whiteboard!
Each player took turns to attach the whiteboard to their head.
Then they were given a Christmas Clue which they had to draw for the other players to guess. Whoever guessed correctly then took their turn.
They all had a lot of fun, with jokes and laughs shared by all.

Wilfred enjoyed making this puzzle.
He had a very nice cuppa after his hard work!

Friday 17th

 

Clarence House and the Netherlands in Horncastle

Just before the change to the current Covid restrictions when things were looking a little brighter, Clarence House and the Netherlands managed to get together for their yearly Christmas Party. After having to miss last year, it was so much fun for everyone to get together and celebrate Christmas, with singing and good food was enjoyed by all.

We welcomed Benny the Dog and his owner Loran to Riversway for some Pet Therapy. The residents had lots of cuddles and spoilt him with lots of treats, they had a really lovely afternoon!    

Saturday 18th

 

Lyndon Croft in Solihull

We have been getting ready for Santa by decorating their tree.
Everyone had a brilliant time, and all made sure they had their share of the decorating!
 

Riversway in Bristol

We made these beautiful Christmas Cakes.
We all had one each to top with jam, marzipan and icing then we added our own little touches to them with some decorations.
Everyone took their cakes back to their rooms to enjoy!

The residents created these lovely Christmas Decorations.
We think they look amazing! Well done, everyone!
 

Sunday 19th

 

Kirklees in Grimsby

The residents have prepared these brilliant looking Reindeer Hot Chocolate bags.
They are saving them to enjoy on Christmas Eve.

Riversway in Bristol

We handed out some lovely treats from the trolly. We gave out flowers, sweats, books and of course cakes! Everybody was very happy with their treats!
