The manager has kept me informed of my mother’s health throughout her time at the home. I travelled from New Zealand and made it to spend a few days with my mum because the manager emailed me, and my mum passed away peacefully at the home today. I rate the manager and the team very highly. A truly professional operation that cares”
Riversway in Bristol
We had the amazing Lauren back with her fun chair exercise class. She brought along Paddington to help us exercise along to some songs related to our late Queen Elizabeth II. We enjoyed refreshments after all our hard work, it was a fun session!
Oakdene in Mansfield
We took a trip out to our local for a quick drink. The pub has put its Halloween decorations up, which we thought looked pretty cool.
Loran House in Hull
We had the amazing Lion Learners in for a fun-filled afternoon. They brought some amazing animals for the residents to meet and hold. Some fluffy ones everyone liked, and some not as fluffy ones that a few were hesitant with but enjoyed meeting.
Tuesday 11th
Meadow View in Alcester

I cannot praise the manager and staff enough for making her last couple of months comfortable and she was looked after and cared for so well.”Oakdene in Mansfield
We took a small trip out to our local shop to grab some bits! The weather was nice and it was lovely just to take a wonder.

Pat had a lovely one-to-one with Linda. They enjoyed a cup of tea with a jam and cream scone. Pat was really happy to spend time with Linda!
Wednesday 12th
Riversway in Bristol
We got together and created some homemade cream Biscoff ice cream slices with Biscoff truffles. We enjoyed eating them after with a cuppa, and they tasted as good as they looked!

“My wife feels very settled at Oakdene of her condition it can be very challenging it can be very challenging for staff at time but they do their best in providing the care she needs.
They keep a close eye on infections and one proactive which contribution to her mental health being more stable than it has in past.
I appreciate that the past two and a half years with the pandemic has been a real challenge but the home has done its level best to keep the residents safe”

Oakdene in Mansfield
Ivan loves a good walk, so nice to get the blood pumping even on a cool autumn morning. Plus it gives him a chance to pop to the local shop to grab a treat.

We had little Frank the bunny back in the home and he was a joy to take around. He was very relaxed with the residents and had lots of cuddles with everyone. We all think he is a lovely bunny rabbit. A big thanks to Milly for bringing him in.

“My father was in this care home, and he had alcoholic dementia. Over the two years, he was there; all the staff got my dad off the alcohol within six months. They were very caring and friendly and treated every resident the same.
My dad was a handful, that’s why I had to put him in a care home, and because he was there, they gave him two years extra of life. I can’t thank them enough.
They let me give residents tea and coffee because it made my dad feel like he was at home because I was there with him. I would recommend Oaklands to anyone because they give 100%.”
