Glengarriff House in Market Rasen
Yesterday we went for a bus ride around the countryside, stopped off at Waltham Windmill for a yummy picnic and then finished the trip with an ice cream from Rock Foundation Ltd in Caistor.
A massive thank you to Nigel (the PrimeLife bus driver) for the bus ride and laughs, we all had a brilliant day!

Chestnut House in Marton
Karin has been ill lately, so much so that she has not been able to venture out for weeks now. For years Karin never missed a Wednesday Shopping Day, so last week we got her into town for Shopping Day. Her local bank, who have known her for years, had been waiting to give out a customer of the month and they had chosen Karin. 2 of the staff surprised her with a beautiful bag of goodies. This is just what Karin needed and there were tears all round ❤

A few weeks back, we had a visit from Co-op funeral care in aid of carers week. They provided a box for the residents and staff to nominate their best carer and to highlight positivity within care homes. We are proud to say Minnie won the award for the local care hero! A huge congratulations to Minnie! What an achievement!

Roger enjoyed a wonderful sunny afternoon in the garden! He watered our flowerpots and spent time with enchanting Dexter!

Evelyn really enjoyed some time in the garden today and helped water our beautiful flowers! It was lovely to hear the birds singing and also the soothing sounds of our waterfall, it was so peaceful!

We’ve had a fun-packed morning!
We’ve had our nails painted, enjoyed some crafts and made another Disney princess puzzle!…… Who loves doing crafts? We certainly do!
Charnwood Oaks in Shepshed
Whilst the ladies were enjoying a pampering evening, the men on Unit 2 cheered England on to a Win! We all think that this year, it’s coming home!

Grace absolutely loves cats, so we treated her to a book with lots of different cats in it. She really enjoyed looking through it.

We thoroughly enjoyed a trip and a treat with a bus trip to go and get fish ‘n’ chips. ??
Friday 9th

Terry Thompson, a Paramedic who visited us recently had some lovely things to say about the home! Terry is a Covid-19 survivor, and we would just like to say, “Thank you for all the support you have given our residents!”
Riversway in Bristol
Today we were delighted to invite back Frankie to sing with the residents in the garden. There was a light breeze, but we had our blankets on, so we were all very warm. Frankie’s singing was fantastic, and we even enjoyed ice cream while we listened, everyone had a wonderful time!

We enjoyed an Afternoon Tea! with sandwiches, cakes, scones and of course tea! We all had a brilliant time chit-chatting and eating the delicious treats.
Saturday 10th
The Mount in Barrow upon Humber
A huge Prime Life Happy Birthday to Julia Goodson who is celebrating her 75th Birthday today. Julie will have worked for Prime Life for 25 years this September, and Anna the new manager of The Mount said “I would be completely lost without her. Her energy and passion inspire me and it would be my wish to keep this fit at that age.” Everyone at The Mount wishes Julia a Happy Birthday; let the future bring good health, wealth and long life.

The residents enjoyed some fresh strawberries and cream, and a glass of fizz whilst we watched Wimbledon! ?
Mel was awarded with a caring hero’s award.
We would like to thank her for all her hard work at Riversway. She has always shown her kindness by going that extra mile for the residents and staff.
