A massive well done to the incredible staff team there ?? “My mum has been a resident for 6 months and describes Meadow View as home and settled within a few weeks, thanks to the Manager and staff. I am a regular weekly visitor to the home. During the pandemic, I have visited via window, pod, rooms and garden as lockdown has improved. Mum is happy and well cared for. Lastly, the Manager, admin and caring staff are very helpful and friendly.”
 

Oakdene in Mansfield

Oakdene in Mansfield has had some amazing feedback from some visitors in the home! You can see all the lovely comments in the pictures, but some of the highlights are: “Cheerful and welcoming on my arrival.” “Staff were lovely! Well organised and maintained appropriate measures for Covid 19 safety.” “Care staff are always very professional pleasant and helpful.” Well done to the team at Oakdene for all your hard work!

Happy Birthday to Evelyn, who celebrated her 95th birthday on 24th June! We decorated her room for the occasion, and she absolutely loved the card and flowers we gave her!

She is very proud of each and every one of you! Well Done Welholme that is an amazing achievement, you should all be very proud!

River Meadows in Kineton

River Meadows in Kineton received this wonderful review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team there ??   “I have found the home to be very good, considering the pandemic. Although I have seen him getting worse and his mental health has been affected due to the lack of visits. I find the management to be excellent and all the staff. Overall, I am very satisfied.”

We all had so much fun making these white chocolate and lemon cream puffs! They were so delicious, we enjoyed them with a cup of tea!

Football Fever is sweeping the home and with another win by England yesterday the residents and staff spirits are really high! We all got in the spirit with wigs, hats and horns to toot when England scored! It was such a fun afternoon! Come on England, you’ve got this!

We went Strawberry Picking! And what a haul we got, with plenty to share out around the home!

Kirklees in Grimsby

Kirklees in Grimsby received this brilliant shout out! “I visited Kirklees today for a visit. I was very impressed with their Covid-19 policies and procedures for visitors. The care home also has a visitors pod in the garden which is purpose-built. The home has adapted well in the face of Covid-19. The individual I took to view the home also described the Manager as very friendly. Well done all!” Well done to Mitch and the team for all your hard work!

Old Rectory in Stickney

A massive well done to Vicky, Julie, Tanya and David (the kitchen staff) and all the other staff members at the Old Rectory in Stickney for achieving a 5 Food Hygiene Rating from Environmental Health. Your hard work and dedication are very much appreciated, well done everyone!

Pat enjoyed looking through some old pictures of movie stars with Karen. She was smiling and laughing when we said John Wayne was a very handsome fella! ?

Biscuit decorating time! Everyone had so much fun making their own special designs and, of course, making a mess!

Welholme Road in Grimsby

Rob has been getting into the Euro spirit and cheering England on! He is ready to show his support this evening, hoping for another England win against Ukraine.

We got together to make these beautiful flower wreaths from sticky felt flowers! They will look so beautiful hung on the doors. Plus, this was a brilliant time to enjoy a cake and a cuppa too!   We spent some time together in the garden making our England flags for the match today! Come On England!  

Charnwood Oaks in Shepshed

It’s Football Fever in the home. Unit 4 have got ready for the game this evening, with massive hopes on an England win! Everyone in the homes says It’s Coming Home!

Kirklees in Grimsby

Mitch, the manager at Kirklees in Grimsby would like to give a massive shout out and a big well done to all the staff at the home! They had their unannounced Infection control visit by N E Lincs CCG and received 100% on Hand Hygiene, 100% PPE and 95% for the environment! She says that “the staff have been fantastic and have done an amazing job during this pandemic and have worked incredibly hard to keep everyone safe!” Well Done Kirklees, on such an outstanding achievement!  

Westerlands Care Village in East Riding

The residents enjoyed some Fruit Skewers covered in melted Chocolate! It was so yummy!

Roger enjoyed spending some time with Linda. They looked through some old movie stars photos as they reminisced about the performers and enjoyed a nice cuppa and a slice of cake.  

Beechlands in Leicester

SPLAT! ? The residents decided it would be good fun to play Pie Face Showdown! The one who can press the button the fastest is the one who doesn’t end up with whipped cream on their face. Everyone really enjoyed themselves playing this very silly game!
