Monday 19th

Riversway in Bristol received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team ?? “My mother-in-law went into the home at the end of January this year. My mother-in-law was in her last stages of dementia. The home was always very pleasant, polite and kept in touch with us (family). Every staff member was really helpful and as far as I was concerned looked after my mother-in-law really well.”   We had cheese and wine in our beautiful garden. Everyone choose a song for us to enjoy! We had such a lovely afternoon.

Happy Birthday to Carol, for last Friday! She Celebrated the big day with the others in the home! Carol received some lovely gifts and cards but her favourite was a Unicorn Balloon!

We’ve been making sock puppets and having a go at the ‘trolls world tour’ puzzle! What do you think to our sock puppets?  

Welholme Road in Grimsby

Nothing better than relaxing by the pool in this weather, and that’s exactly what two residents decided to do.

Bleddyn enjoyed the surprise Welsh cakes we got for him! Yum Yum Yum!

A massive well done to the incredible staff team ?? “A very friendly team who have a positive outlook; the team are professional, passionate, compassionate and understanding. The team are also interested in the wellbeing and involvement of visitors, not to detract from their main focus though. The care team are very busy but afford the time to inform, in between key times. The accommodation is excellent and the en-suite facility is perfect, each visit it has been clean to a high standard, as has my aunt’s bedroom. The atmosphere appears calm and respectful even with the challenges that residents live with and the staff manage with skill. The whole of the team is extremely accommodating even with the restrictions that have been in place to protect residents, themselves and visitors. Thank you.”

David celebrated his 79th birthday yesterday! David enjoyed a lovely party in the garden with his friends. We all had lots of fun listening to the party music and spending some time together all for David. We sang happy birthday, and each had a cake from David.  

Brockshill Woodlands in Leicester

With the weather being so nice it has been a perfect opportunity for some outside entertainment. That’s exactly what we did. Our residents, staff and some family members had a wonderful time listening to some lovely live music in the garden. You can find a short video of the event on the Prime Life Facebook page.

Residents have been catching up on the newspapers yesterday morning with a cup of coffee.

Pizza making!! We all had fun this afternoon making our own pizzas for tea!

We had a wonderful afternoon doing a Music Quiz and enjoying a delicious Icecream in our beautiful garden! It was such a lovely afternoon, everyone had a brilliant time!  

The Fairways (Phoenix Park Care Village) in Scunthorpe

We celebrated our 3rd birthday with a party for all staff and residents. We had lots of food, music and fun with everyone really getting into the party spirit. Happy Birthday to Fairways!  

Friday 23rd

Chestnut House in Marton

We enjoyed a BBQ Last week! It was the first BBQ of the summer and Sam the cook really went to town cooking some delicious food for everyone. Everyone at the home says it was a perfect day!

We decided to brighten up the residents day by popping around with some treats for them. They were all very happy with their gifts!

We had a lovely afternoon with some Stone Painting! Everyone did such a fantastic job, they look great!

We handed out some delicious Cornettos so that we could cool the residents down on these hot sunny days we are having! Everyone really enjoyed the refreshing treat.   Joyce enjoyed a lovely chat with Sue. They were reminiscing about the olden days whilst she enjoyed a cup of tea and a small cake!

We had a visit from Ye Olde Timer Ice Cream Van the other day. So of course everyone in the home got one.

Oakdene in Mansfield

After a visit to Oakdene in Mansfield, Chas had these wonderful things to say about the home! It’s so good to see when your hard work is recognised, well done Oakdene!  

Clarence House in Horncastle

Happy 70th Birthday to Sue! The residents set up a surprise for her in the morning with balloons, banners and presents. She had a wonderful day with a massive cake and plenty of celebrating! ??

We know just how much Eva loves her Bath-Bombs! So we gave her some from Lush, she was very pleased with the gift!
