With the hottest June on record, the residents had plenty of time to enjoy the sun, thanks to the amazing support of our staff teams.

Barons Park
The residents enjoyed a lovely trip to the local garden centre, where they spent some time browsing the beautiful plants, flowers, and seasonal displays before treating themselves to a well deserved coffee and cake in the café.

The staff set up a buffet of hot dogs, snacks and non-alcoholic beers for the residents to enjoy whilst watching the England game.

They had a proverb day; the residents found the matching ending of some familiar proverbs.

The resident’s love an Arts and Craft session and displayed their work around the home.

The weather was very wet outside, so the residents made their own fun inside.

The home enjoyed a visit from “Vocal Verdict – battle of the singers”. Residents got to sing along and use their paddles to vote for who they wanted to win!

The residents and staff enjoyed some time in the garden playing games and enjoying the shade to help cool down when needed.

Clarence House
Claire recently achieved her Rainbow Award for horse riding. Claire goes riding every two weeks and has ridden horses for several years. She loves riding and spending time with Nina, the horse she rides.

The residents had a lovely day out to the beach; they enjoyed some pub lunch, a walk along the beach-front and some time in the arcades.

Lutterworth Country House
The residents welcomed Dante and Rupert from The Alpaca Pals into the home.
For some residents (and staff), this was the first time having a close encounter with an alpaca. However, everyone, from the novice to the experienced, enjoyed their company, petting them both and feeding them carrots.

The home welcomed the Mayor of Solihull along with Mark, a local author, Sophie from the Courtyard and the children and staff from St Andrews School to celebrate National Writing Day.

Jim and Catherine had a fabulous day at Lincolnshire Show-ground, seeing lots of different farmyard-related technology and animals.
