November is a busy month, a time to celebrate our fallen hero’s! Here are a few of our favourite moments from the month.

Ashlands
They had a lovely walk to the church, read poems, and had a coffee morning with other members of the church; the residents really enjoyed the morning out!

Barons Park
The residents got into the festive spirit with a joyful Christmas sing-along! It was a wonderful start to the day, filled with music, smiles, and holiday cheer.

Birch Green
On Black Friday, they hosted “Breakfast with The Managers!”
Who needs the hustle and bustle of Black Friday when you can start the day off right with a delicious cooked breakfast and great company?
One gentleman was up with the lark that morning, ready & waiting. Afterwards, he commented, “That breakfast was delicious. It’s really lovely to have a classy breakfast.“

They had the wonderful Kevin and Marie Baines-Dean visit the home for a remembrance day-themed show.

They had lots of fun at Halloween with a mix of spooky activities!

The residents enjoyed a lovely holiday in Blackpool.
They visited the shops, had fish and chips, went to the tower for a ballroom event, enjoyed the amusement arcades and had fun evenings out!

Some of the residents had fun putting up trees in the home.
Joan and Norman enjoyed an evening setting up their tree, and Dianne and Carol also enjoyed making the home feel Christmasy.

Jackie organised activities for Children in Need and earned herself a certificate for being such an amazing organiser.
They had a colouring competition, cake making, and name-the-teddy! Fun was had by all.

The residents had an unexpected visit from Nitrous Competition, who came to wish our residents Merry Christmas and handed out gifts.

The residents had fun pumpkin carving for Halloween!
There was a lot of head scratching, but they got there in the end and loved the journey.

They had the wonderful Barry Jukes in the home for some live music.
Maggie, one of our residents, had a wonderful time dancing with carer Luke, whilst John enjoyed a dance with his wife Anne. Luke and Elsie loved listening to music, and Joyce and Barbara joined in with the dancing!

Stoneygate Oaklands
The residents created some lovely poppies in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.
They discussed Remembrance Sunday as a group and explored why we observe it.
Everybody was very glitter happy with their creations, but they all helped out with the clear up at the end and displayed their masterpieces.

They teamed up with Stoneygate Oaklands and Beechlands to watch a lovely fireworks display.
All residents enjoyed watching, having fun with some sparklers, and loved the hot chocolate and cakes/cookies.
They even enjoyed their jacket potatoes and hot dogs for tea!
