A Week at PrimeLife 1st – 7th August 2022

Monday 1st

 

Riversway in Bristol

Alan celebrated his 81st Birthday on 23rd July. He had lots of cards and gifts from his family and friends, we decorated his room with balloons and banners. He loved his card and chocolates from all at Riversway. Happy Birthday, Alan!   We got together to make these delicious churros! We had some lovely chats together while we were busy cooking. Everyone enjoyed a nice cuppa with a churro after, and yes, they tasted as good as they looked!  

Oakdene in Mansfield

We love to keep our brains working with a good competitive game of Dominoes.  

Tuesday 2nd

 

Oakdene in Mansfield

Rita had a lovely trip out for her 1-to-1 session. She got some bits from the shop and a spot to eat. It was a lovely day out.  

Riversway in Bristol

Barbara celebrated her 95th Birthday on 28th July. We decorated her room and sang a few songs with her to celebrate the day! She had lots of beautiful gifts and cards from her family and friends and really liked the card and chocolates from everyone at Riversway. Happy Birthday, Barbara!   Joyce and Edward had a game with the ballon. They were really good at working together as a team!  

Meadow View in Alcester

A big Happy Birthday to Shirley, who recently turned 88. We all got together to wish her a very happy birthday and got a special cake for the day. She had a wonderful day full of love and treats! Happy Birthday, Shirley. You can see the video on our Facebook page here!  

Wednesday 3rd

 

Meadow View in Alcester

We had a bit of unprompted fun and danced in the home. It was so much fun, with games, dancing, singing and making our own music. Everyone had such a wonderful time.  

Riversway in Bristol

We made ice cream sundaes they were delicious! We enjoyed them with the nice weather and spent some time in our lovely garden.

Oakdene in Mansfield

We had a small trip out to Tesco to get a few bits and to treat ourselves.  

Thursday 4th

Oakdene in Mansfield

We hadn’t been to the bowling alley for a little while, so everyone jumped at the chance to head out and enjoy some bowling followed by a spot of lunch. It was a brilliant afternoon out, we all had a wonderful time.  

Riversway in Bristol

David enjoyed a lovely hand massage with Lisa. He had a little cake and apple juice, as you can see he looks very relaxed.

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

Kevin had a brilliant time out for his dinner, he even treated himself to a couple of shandies! He had such a lovely time!  

Friday 5th

 

Meadow View in Alcester

We had Zoo Lab come and visit the home. It was so much fun to see so many different animals and have the chance to experience them close up. Not all of our residents were keen on holding them, but those that did had a brilliant time.  

Riversway in Bristol

A very big thank you for our beautiful flowers donated from our local coop ❤️ The residents loved the flowers bouquet, and as you can see, lots of smiling faces.

Oakdene in Mansfield

We decided to treat ourselves to a lovely spot of Sunday Lunch last weekend. It was so nice to spend some time out of the home, enjoying good food and good chit-chat.  

Saturday 6th

 

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We had a beauty day. We put on some make-up and did our nails. It was a lovely day, and everyone loved how they looked!  

Stoneygate Oaklands in Leicester

A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!  

Riversway in Bristol

We made some cheese, potato and bacon bakes! Everyone enjoyed smashing the potatoes and adding the ingredients of their choice. We had lots of chats about cooking and our favourite meals. We enjoyed them with salad and sauce, they were delicious.

Oakdene in Mansfield

Our lovely residents enjoyed a bit of retail therapy with Pam, Pat and Jane, followed by a well-earned lunch! We all had a lovely day out!

Lutterworth in Alcester

We took a trip to Skegness this week. We had a wonderful time checking out the amusements, a little bit of shopping, a walk along the beach and ending the day with some seaside fish and chips. Everyone thought it was such a lovely day out!  

Sunday 7th

 

Oakdene in Mansfield

We went out for lunch at The Young Vanish Inn! It was a nice trip out trying somewhere new, and the grub was good too!  

Riversway in Bristol

We had a little church service where we sang lots of our favourite hymns and enjoyed refreshments. It was nice to see everyone together.  

The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We had a wonderful visitor to the home. Everyone really loved having a surprise visit from this cute rabbit. We all got some lovely cuddles and watch them play.
