We had a lady called Lauren from Flourish Dance come to visit. She did lots of soft chair exercises with the residents, she used feathers and scarfs. She really engaged well with each resident, they all had a lovely afternoon and of course, we had tea and cakes after.

When the weather was slightly cooler, we had some fun hula hooping in the garden! It was such a good laugh.

A massive well done to the whole team on retaining a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! This is a huge achievement, you should all be so proud of the result!

Stella celebrated her 96th birthday on 6th July.
She had Pauline, her long-life friend come for a visit while we FaceTimed her daughter in Australia.
She loved her daughter’s cards and gifts and enjoyed tea and cake with Pauline.

Last week we got out in the garden to enjoy the sunshine and play some garden games. Everyone had a brilliant time!
Wednesday 20th
Little Acres in Nuthall
Last week we visited THE DEEP! This aquarium in Hull was so much fun. We had a fantastic day seeing all the different aquarium life and going in an underwater lift. After, we enjoyed some lunch at McDonald’s. It was a wonderful day.

Happy 92nd Birthday, Neriman! She had a lovely day with gifts from friends and family. We also decorated her room for the big day. Happy Birthday, We hope you had a lovely day!

We all really enjoyed watching the tennis this year. So much fun watching and cheering on our favourites together.

Lisa and Helen enjoyed taking Victoria out to do some clothes shopping at Longwell Green Retail Park. They enjoyed lunch in M&S and a Starbucks after all the shipping. Victoria had a lovely time and said she was “shopped out!”

Charlie celebrated his birthday on the 19th. He had a wonderful day, we got him a chocolate caterpillar cake (a favourite), and all stood together to sing him a Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday, Charlie, we hope you had a good day.

Woodville Residential Care Home in Woodville
We received this lovely card from the daughter of one of our lovely residents who has sadly passed away. How lovely it is that in such a sad and difficult time for them as a family to give such positive feedback to the team. Thank You, Babs will be missed by us all!

We enjoyed Lots of ice lollies last week due to the heat wave. Everyone enjoyed the selection we had to choose from. It’s important to keep everyone hydrated in the heat.

We had a lovely afternoon making some fans. Everyone created their own pattern, and we think they turned out fantastic.
Saturday 23rd
Riversway in Bristol
Hazel enjoyed having her hair cut and set. Whilst Hazel’s hair was setting, Lisa found lots of different pictures of hair set in rollers on the large iPad for them to look at whilst enjoying a cuppa and a cookie! She was very pleased with how her doo looked.

We had a brilliant game of Giant Kerplunk! It is always such a good laugh!
The Fieldings in Sutton-in-Ashfield
To help cool off and so the residents could take advantage and enjoy the sun, we filled the pool!
Everyone had lots of fun, either with a little paddle or getting right down into it! It was the perfect way to keep cool.
