Life at Prime Life ~ August 2025

August was a hot one! With plenty of sun, the residents had lots of fun! Here are a few of our favourite events.

Barons Park

The residents enjoyed the Summer Carnival at Barons Park! From slush puppies, hot dogs, candy floss, cakes and sweet treats, to bouncy castles, live music, raffles, and brilliant performances from local dance groups, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Lots of activities happening in the home recently, from cooking to playing darts, to even building a scarecrow! Everyone has had a great deal of fun.

Clarence House

Residents and Staff enjoyed a night away in Birmingham recently to watch the fantastic stage production of Mary Poppins. The show was amazing and they enjoyed a lovely evening meal at the hotel.

Holmes Court

Some of the Residents went to Skegness this week for a day trip out. The words from two residents were “this has been the best day of my life” So lovely to see such happy faces!!

Holmes House

Residents enjoyed a day out in Wigston, where they had the normal warm welcome from The Salvation Army and also from the staff at Loaf and Bloom coffee shop, where they enjoyed a little treat.

Little Acres

The residents enjoyed a Grease-themed party! They got together with family and friends to spend the bank holiday afternoon singing and dancing to some of the famous Grease songs!

The residents enjoyed a morning out visiting some donkeys, where they enjoyed tea, cakes and lots of smiles.

Manor House

The residents had a lovely day out in the sunshine at the Peak District, enjoying the Monsal Trail.

The trail is so beautiful, always so nice to be able to get out and enjoy nature.

One of the residents led a keep calm and breathe deep workshop in the garden during a brief planned power outage!

The residents welcomed the Ukulele Group into their home. They performed some amazing songs, and they all had a great time playing and singing along.

Thelma, Tony, Michael and Wendie all enjoyed a trip to Weston Super Mare. They enjoyed lunch on the seafront, followed by a lovely beachfront walk.

The Vamous Theatre team teamed up with the staff for an incredible session on Nonverbal Communication, where they explored the art of “listening with your eyes.” The energy was electric as they unlocked new ways to connect!

Every year, Sutton hosts the Ashfield Show, a large fair featuring carnival games, live shows, and local stalls. The residents love it; it’s always a fun day!

The residents loved the visit from Vamos Theatre! After teaching the staff some special skills on how to communicate non-verbally, they put on an amazing show for everyone in the home.
