We surprised Eva with some lovely Bath Bombs, she was very pleased as you can see in her face!
Tuesday 19th
Meadow View in Alcester
Chooo Chooo!
Yesterday we saw the opening of our new train.
The inside has been designed to look like a Victorian train carriage, with monitors for windows so the train can appear as though it is moving!
Everyone loved it, with one resident stating they feel like they are going on a trip and another saying “my husband would have loved this!”
Riversway in Bristol
Roger loves classical music, so we took the old fashioned record player around to him to play some of his favourites. Listening to music from a record player just hits differently, and he really enjoyed it!
Wednesday 20th
Riversway in Bristol
We had some relaxing painting sessions with Wilfred, Rita and Brenda who all enjoyed doing some watercolours! They had a great time painting and really enjoyed each others company!
Meadow View in Alcester
Along with the new train, we also have had some new decorating across the home.
Including a new Peoples Library, new signs around the home to help the residents know where they are and shop and home front to help create that village feel.
We definitely feel the home looks amazing!
Thursday 21st
Riversway in Bristol
Frankie is back singing for our lovely residents.
We had lots of fun and enjoyed tea and doughnuts at halftime! Thank you Frankie, we hope to see you again very soon
Lutterworth Country House in Lutterworth
Lots of fun and laughs were had this week. The residents enjoyed trying out a game of Table Pong and reminded them of being at the fairground, they joking asked if they would win a goldfish if they managed to get a ball in each cup!
Friday 22nd
Welholme Road in Grimsby
We made these Halloween masks ready for the big day! Helen, a member of the team, joined in with the fun! She has been with us for 20 years this year!
Riversway in Bristol
We had a wonderful afternoon flower arranging, creating some lovely vases for the dining room!
The flowers are silk but everyone said how they looked like real flowers. As always we enjoyed cake and a cuppa whilst we worked and with a game of guess the phrase after.
Saturday 23rd

We popped in to see Evelyn with some flowers!
She was over the moon and said “thank you very much!” We put them on her window seal for all to see!

“When sourcing a care home for a very special loved one, you ultimately rely on reviews. After no support from social services and very little information, we were left with relying on the NHS for recommendations.
My Mother-in-Law was evicted from a Dementia specialist unit as they could not cope with her needs. This was a total shock to us as we thought the care home we chose was able to accommodate her, how wrong we were! After several phone calls asking us to come in as they couldn’t cope, we knew something was wrong.
We came across Peaker Park and I can honestly say it was the best thing that ever happened. They are the most brilliant team and have a total understanding of a loved one’s needs. They take the time to get to know the real person and listen to the family. All the staff are amazing and have the resident’s needs at heart. The home is spotlessly clean, I cannot fault them. Even though we have now lost our beloved Mum, we know that her care was second to none!.”

Sunday 24th
Riversway in Bristol
We made these beautiful cakes, which we shared out with the home and enjoyed with a nice cup of tea. It was good teamwork, good tea and good cake!
We had a really lovely hymn service, we sang our favourite hymns together and enjoyed some refreshments after! Everyone said they enjoyed the services!
