Monday 2nd

Peaker Park in Market Harborough received this outstanding review on carehome.co.uk! A massive well done to the incredible staff team ?? “Our Mum spent the last 4 weeks of her life until she passed away last week, in Fiddlers Court, the end of life unit. We can’t thank the management, nursing team and carers enough for the kindness, care and compassion that they gave to her and to us during her time in their care. Everyone made time to answer our questions and help us navigate through her final days. Mum had wanted to die at home but this was absolutely the best place for her and us. The setting is lovely, calm, safe and homely. En-suite and a fridge in the room ensured we could spend comfortable private time with her and we appreciated the lounge and garden when we needed a breather. Would highly recommend it for those with loved ones needing end of life care.”

Barbara celebrated her 94th birthday on 28th July! She loved all her beautiful gifts and cards, and of course her beautiful cake! We decorated her room for the day, she loved every minute of her birthday saying it was one of her best birthdays ever!

We decided to have a go at tie-dying some t-shirts!  Everyone had so much fun picking out colours for their t-shirt and making a mess!  We will show the results once they have dried.

BINGO!! We had so much fun playing bingo! Lilian was our winner for the day, but everyone’s a winner at Riversway! So everyone got a little bag of sweets!!  

Saturday 7th

We had a lovely afternoon of cheese and wine! We had lots of chats about our favourite foods that we all like to eat!   We celebrated Roger’s 83rd birthday last Thursday! We decorated his room and gave him a card and present. Roger was very pleased with his chocolates. Happy Birthday Rodger
