Did you know Census Day is taking place on Sunday 21st March?
The census is a national survey that takes place every 10 years, about all of the households in England and Wales, and provides a better picture of everyone’s needs. Every household should complete the census Sunday 21st March or as soon as possible after.
Everyone must complete the census and provide accurate information as it helps decide how services are funded in your area.
You must complete the census by law, as it is an offence to supply false information or to not complete it and can be fined up to £1000
This applies to care home residents too, and the care home manager is responsible for ensuring the census is completed for everyone living in the home. As a care home manager, you may have already been contacted by a Census Officer who will provide you with all the information and forms that you need to complete this process.
