The past year has been unconventional to say the least. Prime Life, and its staff and residents have done their best to stay positive when and where they can, and we wanted to share some of our favourite moments of the year with you all!
In January, the company was honored to be nominated within the Leicestershire Live Carer of the Year Awards, as well as the opening of a new home, Tanworth Court in Solihull. The homes continued with their amazing activities that we have loved being able to showcase;something that continued into February, and throughout the year! In March we celebrated International Women’s Day, and we clapped for all of the incredible carers who have worked so hard through the pandemic (thank you so much once again!).
In April, the residents and staff joined Pete on a virtual tour of the UK, and then from May to June, joined Pete on a virtual world tour! In May we celebrated the 75th VE day celebrations in virtual and socially distanced ways, and in June the homes and head office took part in the #StarsInMemory campaign to remember all of those the care industry have lost throughout the pandemic.
In July and August, we all soaked up the sun, and the residents spent time in the garden, and gardening! In September we watched The Great British Bake-Off and the residents showed off their bakes, which lead to Halloween in October, and the amazing Halloween parties, cosumtes and cakes! November kicked off the started of the festive period, and it was incredible!
Christmas magic was a light at the Prime Life homes! Although things were incredibly different compared to last year, staff and residents did their best to make sure it was still a wonderful time. From beautiful decorations and Christmas trees, to stocking fillers and presents! Over the festive period, the Prime Life homes received some incredible donations for residents and staff to enjoy, and on behalf of them, we just wanted to say a massive thank you to these businesses for these generous gifts. With this, we also wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to not just Prime Life homes, but to the care industry over the course of 2020. Your donations and gifts have been hugely appreciated and helped make the past few months a little brighter for residents and staff alike!
